my son just txt me, theres a photo on instagram of Rushworth holding up a new keepers shirt, posted by his agent supposedly.
No idea as I don't use it, I've only just got used to whatsap!!!!!

No! It’s slightly more tenuous than that 😄 I said the fitness coach reportedly told a friend of his, who told his sister who then told me.

Hopefully there’s nothing in it but it would be a possible explanation for why, the deal having reportedly been agreed a few days ago, it has all suddenly gone very quiet.

My friend isn’t the sort to try and wind me up and I’m certain that this is what she was told. It doesn’t mean it’s accurate though.

I’m not sure that Payroll dept will use the day he is announced on Twitter as his start date.

More likely the day he signs his contract or something a little more formal.

The announcement timing will be agreed with Brighton so they can co-ordinate their comms. They may have a reason for not wanting it to be announced yet.

Last night in't pub I was assured we had signed Rushworth, Hamer & Mason Mount was also happening.

Woke up this morning & tumbleweed.
 
Seeing this makes me think that what I was told was true:

That said, this was published last Saturday and the indications are that we didn’t agree the deal with Brighton until earlier this week, so it may be that I was given true but slightly stale news.

Although if Bayern have upped their offer or someone else has come in with a bid for Verbruggen . . .

I was watching a PL transfer pod and someone made a good point that they were expecting us to have made more quality signings by now but the whole Rushworth saga has taken up the energy and holding all the other signings back.

However the positive is, if we’re looking at more ambitious targets than what Hull and Ipswich have then the signing for Rushworth for big money gives confidence in the project.

There were many. I think PSB group was one of them, but certainly not alone. The one that really gets my back up is Moz Baker, who actively wanted to kill the club to rid it of SISU, who is now paid by hospital radio to attend games as a commentator! Should be banned for life, not sitting in the media gantry!
