Hancock said Weston Super Mare has a localised lockdown. This was immediately followed by loads of people who live there tweeting that they have no idea what he's on about.
I think it's actually called Weston Super Mud.

Missus just had her antibody test through work come back positive. Hope that means me and the kids are likely to be positive as well. We all got sick right at the start of this so hope that was it.
What does that mean on a practical level?

Was that when you had that ongoing chest infection? In all likelihood you've had it, I would imagine.
My girlfriend gets tested for it every 20 days but came home from work this morning after delivering a baby of someone who has the virus.

Small amount of peace of mind and I assume she won’t have to ever isolate? Just guessing.
I did wonder if they were ever organised enough to roll this out mass scale that it would allow people to return to some level of normality.

Does it say anything about likelihood of re-infection or any other guidance?

Yeah I mean practically I doubt it means much. I expect the NHS will use it to deny any leave for isolation and it gives me a peace of mind even though I’ll still act like I’ve not had it.

In reality I’m not sure it’s much use until we know how much immunity you get for how long.

Bit of a paradox that needs some conclusive outcome.
Given the suggestion exposure to previous Corona may have immunised a significant percentage of population .
Was the common cold a huge killer when first encountered?
Then why the age disparities between age groups you'd assume had experienced this exposure?

Why is it so hard for these people to admit a mistake

Three of the worst responses (thus far) have been UK, US and Sweden.

Of those two are steadfastly sticking to the "we've had a great response and done really well". One has said "we got it wrong". Guess which is which and what the common denominators are between them,......

I have no idea if it's evidential but imagine much will be made of the different strains doing the rounds .
IE :- One was more lethal.

If there is no spike after the mass ignore of restrictions today and last week then it’s time to open the country again.
IDK macca.
It feels like it's been falling apart for a month now in my mind .
So if the numbers are accurate and it's genuinely falling there may be some hope
It is reliant on the data we're being presented though And it's accuracy .

We’ve had thousands on beaches, thousands meeting in town centres and smashing the place up. I see zero social distancing in shops, feels like I’m pissing in the wind

If you go to the shops or the park over the last couple of weeks its like nothing had ever happened. I suppose at least between the VE Day parties, crowded parks & beaches and now the protests it will give the scientists some data to work with depending on how big the spike is, should help with working out how quickly other restrictions can be safely removed.

Maybe I'm being exposed to so much media it's adjusting my perception.
On a personal level and where I can on a family basis nothing is changing soon.
It's not entirely surprising given certain individuals actions among the elite and the messaging people are going off script.

Makes us a viable centre for all the vaccine studies.
