If it’s one yard over the border it’s one yard too many. Can’t help how I feel.
Defined by a council boundary?

Obviously your choice but an interesting one.

Invisible lines don't mean much but can understand more of judging it on that.

Ie Brum clearly isn't but using your logic neither is brandon, baginton or just down the a444 where the car place is isn't either.

None of those places are in Coventry. I now live 10 mins walk from the Ricoh in Ash Green and I don’t think of myself as living in Coventry.

So does that make me a shit fan or not?
Yep, still shit. Your need to jump on the bandwagon 'and just attend away games' is the decisive factor. Doing this automatically renders you shit.

Chill Cj , I ll go to Brum and away as normal, you make your own choice. Hopefully see u England and Cov away. Pusb
Sought the bloody Trust out.

Sorry if I flew off the handle on that one. It pisses me off to see people have a go at someone for their choice be it going or not going. No one has the right to do that.

Bit random you let an invisible line dictate and wouldn't go if it was a few hundred yards down from where it is now.

It is what it is. As I said, can’t help how I feel

Strange way of looking at it CJ. I live in Ash Green and very much see myself as living in Coventry in the sense it is part of the Coventry conurbation. Imaginery lines on a map are pretty meaningless in this context. If you were a Brighton fan would you refuse to go to the Amex?

It’s not Coventry. Same as when I lived in Binley Woods and Stretton-on-Dunsmore. Yes I would refuse to go. It’s not in Brighton or Hove.

So the season tickets I’ve bought for others this season and sponsoring a player counts for nothing? Brilliant.

By any measure it's Coventry. Local authority boundaries are artificial and change over time anyway, but we'll agree to disagree on that.

As for the last statement, that's insane. Not one yard over the imaginary line? Wow.

Considering the Ricoh is on the border as well, when it first opened you'd have two police forces knocking about on matchday

And I’ll support them in away games. If I did 20 away games why is that worse or better than doing 20 home games when it comes to backing the lads?
You are really asking that? If everyone took that view and we played 18 yr olds getting pasted 6-0 every week!!

But surely if I put money in in other ways it does the same job doesn’t it?

BTW, I don't think anyone is having a go about you not going to SA, you're not alone. I think it was just the one yard over the boundary thing that had people scratching their heads a bit.

Yeah, I find that a strange stance - particularly for someone who travels far and wide to watch football. Always assumed because he followed England far and wide that he was a diehard city fan too.

CJ - not having a go, just assumed (based on your views on the situation) that you would support the team wherever they played.

I’ll go to most away games. I can’t bring myself to watch us play in Birmingham. Like I couldn’t in Northampton. For me it’s not who’s at fault. It’s about the location not being in Coventry where it should be.

Really please explain how buying a ticket for an away game benefits Skyblues more than the club your buying the ticket from.

I didn’t say that. I’ve bought season tickets. It just won’t be me using them. Meanwhile I’ll be attending away games.

I voted the same amount. But in recent years that amount is pretty insignificant.

In fact my home and away match count has been decimated for quite a few years now. They are still my team and want them to be successful.

I dont feel as anti St Andrews as I did Northampton as I never attendecd there; well not in the ground.

Pretty sure the club gets a 5% cut of away ticket sales. Unless it’s changed in the last couple of years (I don’t think it has).

See you away, CJ.

For those doing away only, how do you expect to get tickets for away games on limited allocations and if you have avenues to get them, do you think that's fair over a fan who is a season ticket holder and misses out?
