FA charge Davies over stamping claim (1 Viewer)

Well they would be if they did that in a live TV game

Why does it matter if it’s on live TV or not. If it’s against the rules it’s against the rules and should go punished.
All games are recorded by both sides, so almost every incident will be caught on camera.

Looks like a picture of bayliss on bbc and Davies is already in trouble for the stamp

See how your negative thinking plays against my positivity!

I said as that is Bayliss, Davies will get off and you're reading into it that they will both get banned. ;)

Will miss his aerial presence against their long ball tactics but we have adequate replacements. In truth his judgement for their goal was ridiculous, stand still and the cross doesn't get to Forte so it'll be good to get Willis' pace back in the side, particularly when Grimmer is exposed on that right side.
Hyam moved out and Davies our mom. Huge miss

I think Robins can try and use it to fire up our players.

Seems County players got away with it at their place and Davies got caught. County must be feeling very confident, but we have a very good replacement in Jordan Willis and I believe he can come in and do a very good job for us.

They may feel we will be weakened, but that might not necessarily be the case.

Willis is more than good enough to step in.

Fuck all this rubbish, I'd be more concerned if County go and plough up the ' Meadow' over the next few days. Let's get the ball down and outplay them with a better brand of football.

It’s just the way it is

this should please all those negative fuckers from yesterday who didnt help by highlighting it, ffs enough Notts fans were whinging over it, without our own "fans" doing so.

Just read about that Rhead incident and it was the same ref as Saturday night, Gavin Ward.
If he’d have been sent off at the time he’d have missed our game and arguably we may have finished higher in league.

Just fucking typical that the ref booked him and nothing could be done, yet Davies gets done cos sky spotted it and now faces a potential ban.
I think it was a bit naughty as Duffy seemed to have a bit of a dig in the melee immediately before.

Pretty much every other club playing Lincoln would be demanding he wasn’t banned

It’s onky us that seem unable to cope with the lumbering idiot

Agree. Grimmer is a liability, Willis should be Right back and Rod has to come back in.

Rod has to take his chance if given.

Does Grendal think there are no carmeras at games that aren't on Telly? He really is a thick c**t

David - show me one (actually two as there is one) incident where a non TV covered game had retrospective action taken.

So you change your argument from no one gets banned after the fact in none TV games to actually someone has but show me another?

Stick to cracking one off over DWP benefit cuts

No it’s not “none” TV games as there was one incident where I think a player ended up in hospital and the incident ended in court - I think

However, David the fact remains that’s it. Retrospective appeals are the exclusive domain of TV covered games. The main reason is that media attention facilitates a response from the FA as it’s immediate and therefore immediate action can be considered.

Is that easier for you to comprehend David?

Whether he is banned or not, both sets of players and fans will be a bit more fired up, especially in the first few minutes. Really looking forward to it now and from not minding Notts County, dislike them a bit now - so will add to the vitriol stoked up by several cans of Shandy Bass.

It's a blow that he is banned, but it could have been a lot worse if the ref had seen it in real time and given him a straight red, we would have probably lost the game

He appeals and loses and he will miss Wembley.

Thing in his favour is that he said it was an accident and Duffy accepted that.

Definitely should form his defence.

It does look to me as if he maybe meant it, but I don't think it is clear cut.

Got a fair chance of winning an appeal.

If it was an accident he would have apologised at the time.

Very fair point.

I thought most really rated Willis didn't they?

I don't see this as that much of a blow. Yep we will miss him, but at the same time Willis is more than capable.

I have seen it over, and over, and over again on the highlights link. I STILL don't think it was a deliberate act. There is nothing in there I've seen that will ever convince me it was anything else than a clumsy accident. I STILL say I'd believe it was harsh if it was roles reversed.

If it's any kind of ban, yeah it's time for Willis to step up to the plate and lead us like a club captain should

Watching it, it's the fact that he looks down that is his undoing I believe.

If he hadn't have looked down there would be no review.

We will miss Davies, but Willis is more then good enough and is so pacey too. I don't want to see Rod anywhere near the first team, he looks a complete liability at the mo.

But what is to say he didn't look down to try and miss it and just made a misjudgment? I've lost count the amount of times I've done that to our dog when she's lying down in my way ( I can be rather clumsy on my feet sometimes, but she don't half lie in some stupid places!)

At the end of the day, only one person knows if it was truly deliberate. We can only form an opinion based on the footage.

Hmm, thing is, if he looked down, but then made a misjudgement he would surely look back and apologise.

Maybe. He should have really, regardless even if just a raise of the hand. That could be more his undoing than looking down, in all fairness.
