    Empty seats

We coerced 2 of our young family members to let us buy them season tickets in the family zone knowing that would enable 4 adults to buy at vastly reduced prices. So far the young uns’ have attended about half the games as it’s difficult to motivate them on a cold midweek school night and up...

    Pub's now and then.

Back in the day a few in the Market Tavern, left at 2.15 for a brisk walk through town and Hillfields. Now, The New Horseshoe Foleshill Road.

    Casino Sports Bar

Last time I went to the Ricoh as you walk into the main entrance there was a bistro type bar to the left, is this new sports bar going to be located where this and the club shop were?

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

The winner of last weeks Euromillions have had a bid for the club accepted by Sisu.

It is unrealistic but... Own the Ricoh (at least half of it at least) or Build a new stadium at Warwick Uni?

Great ideas in theory, a couple of flaws though, the only time it could be used for concerts and festivals would be the close season and that’s when all the students have gone home. Secondly and this is a major problem, it’ll never get built.

    CWR

Yes I agree entirely, our weaknesses have been there for all to see from day one. Max and Baka will give you effort but so would I and I’m not good enough. The jury’s still out on Walker but I’m yet to be overly impressed. If Godden returns there’ll but an awful lot of expectation that he’ll...

    CWR

We lacked any quality going forward resulting in no shots on target. That’s simply not good enough at home and in current position. I know Robins will be fully aware of this but he’s not going to publicly criticise the players because like it or not this is the hand he’s been dealt and these are...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Ricoh, 32,000 capacity, great motorway connections and not a bad seat in the house. To those that site it as having no atmosphere I would say that moving to the Ricoh coincided with our fall down the divisions, we’ve never had momentous games there with...

    The Brewer and Baker

Mid 70’s used to meet in the Market Tavern, always plenty of the West End to walk up with.

Was that the one across the road from the Howitzer Club?

Great place for a pre match drink, you could drink up when the teams came out and be in your seat before kick-off.

Yes, the Skyblue Tavern, known as the Mercers Arms in its previous life.

    Football Question

I was on the pitch twice during the Wolves game when we gained promotion to the old division one, does this count as an appearance?

One of the many great things about Highfield Road were the working class boozers in the area. No plastic trees or A la Carte dining, just a place to enjoy a pint and discuss how great we were. I remember going into the Humber Hotel and asking for a beer mat, to which the barmaid replied ‘What...

    Scariest time at a ground.

Anyone of a certain vintage will remember Frank Wignall, what is he?
