Spare a thought for the teachers who have to spend hours in a classroom with kids like these with no back up and "you can't touch me, speak to me like that, I won't come to your detention, my dad will batter you" etc etc

Not sure I could do it!

There was a kid in a red shirt with a cap on, he was the one pushed to the floor..

I also know of the ginger one and will see him later today so will have a quiet word In his ear for being a complete bellend yesterday.

Robbo I didn't know that's what happened I never saw the kid get pushed, just thought you was acting out of character not that I know you but have seen you several games and never seen you act in an aggressive manner before.

Also like to add a comment on this west end fanatics. Please tell me it's not all you younger ones starting that up. Most was in dipers when the WT was at its best Ffs.

Thank you. As you said it's not within my character but we all have certain instances out of character, I did what I thought was right, but I have come to see it weren't, even so I won't let it happen again.

The best line in a film EVER, well, apart from another which I'll also put here, was in an old black and white gangster film from the forties, it was on TCM or something and the film was full of those kind of phrases. Anyway, they had this bloke on a roof who'd been grassing to the feds and they were asking him to confess and he was giving it all the "I ain't done nothin' Johnny, I wouldn't tell on ya", and Johnny didn't believe him see (they said the word see a lot at the end of every sentence) and he pushed him off the roof and said "he can sing like a canary let's see if he can fly like one". He couldn't.

Second best line in a film is from The Three Amigos.

Her: I was thinking later, you could kiss me on the veranda
Him: no, the lips will be fine.

On The Waterfront. Great film. Marlon Brando at his best.

Fok me west end fanatics???? None of them would recall the west end. . . What's wrong with the Ricoh scoreboard silly cunts?

Personally fair play to lad apologizing for his actions and trying to take some responsibility for the dickheads around him. Sad fact is I decided to not go yesterday because I wasn't sure my 7 y o would have positive experience as I knew the short journey would attract a lot of kids who after a sniff of shandy their behaviour would be intolerable.

That's two who missed out

And another silly post. Word obsessed comes to mind

Word obsessed is a better "silly post" than the keyboard warrior oddly abusing someone else for being the same.

Are you for real? Dunno where you get the keyboard warrior tag from? I'm open as anyone about where I drink, what games I go to, where I sit etc... Unlike yourself I'm not someone who takes this site seriously. You seem to spend your whole life on here and bring up random shit what has no relation to the thread. Quite sad really

Be careful. I maybe a Somalian or an Eastern Europian or indeed anyone else that fuels your obvious xenophobia.

Does make me laugh that the ones who are getting so wound up about the kids are the ones who sit in the middle of the tesco stand and make no attempt to create an atmosphere.

Sadly, a group of youngsters singing under the scoreboard are all that is left atmosphere wise and without them it would be silent. I used to sit up in the corner when the average age was a lot higher than it is now, but unfortunately they have all fucked off.

You mean the ones there to watch football? Is singing pathetic songs a must for any football fan now?

That's not what he is saying Nick, most fans will know that Blocks 15-17 are the only ones that make the atmosphere, at times there are some horrific songs, sometimes you get it right for instance the home fixture against Oldham towards the back end of last season, no one is saying singing for any football fan is a necessity but I do think those who sing are more likely to be victimised by others.

Why is it, likes of you, torch, Grendel etc... Love to slate fellow fans. You moan there isn't enough coming them you slag off our fans. Yet see the owners as blameless and never say a bad word.

Behave yourself. Victimised? Only person I can see victimised is a 70 year old steward who probably couldn't tie up his own shoe laces. People really shouldn't throw stones if they live in glass houses, are you seriously acting a victim?

If you want to go to a football match and spend the game with your back to it while you lead the silly song brigade then it is up to you. If you want to be the self appointed leader of a gang of kids then it is up to you what you do in your spare time.

I like going to watch the game of football rather than trying to be cool singing songs about dead people who touched kids or how to shag somebody. It is just personal preference.

If people want to sing CCFC football songs then fair play to them! If people want to go and sing in our coventry homes then fair play to them, it is part of football isn't it? I do think people need to realise it isn't the San Siro and they aren't hooligans or "ultras".

If Tim Fisher is getting in the face of an OAP with 50 others behind him then he would be just as much a dickhead, if not more.

It wasn't that far back in this thread you were talking about giving these people a kickin....

If somebody is acting like a dick, it doesn't matter whether they were in a city shirt or a Nuneaton shirt they are still acting like a dickhead.

I never said I was playing the victim card, you're taking my words out of context, also why keep referring to an event in which I've apologised for?

People go to the Football for different reasons and that's absolutely fine, but you have to respect that even if you don't believe in it.

Why do you have to sing like a little choir boy at a football match. I go to watch a game of football, not sing and get angry at innocent people.

Weren't you just saying about people being victimised for singing? I am not sure that's the case, lots of people sing and get involved with Play Up Sky Blues or In Our Coventry Homes and I am not sure they get victimised. However when it is "Theres only one Jimmy Saville" it is probably a different situation isn't it? Surely you can understand that?

Like I have just said, people have their own personal preference but not sure why anybody would respect some of that stuff.

For me best atmospheres are created when ALL fans of a team (or indeed both teams) can engage. The singing of the Sky Blue Song for example is known and sung by all generations. With that ringing around Highfield Road or the Ricoh it raises the hairs on my neck. Or indeed the repeated chanting of Coventry Coventry etc with away fans doing the same for their team. What doesn't appeal to me is the singing of songs with inane or crude words that are not about supporting the team and only a handful of die-hard acne teens know the words to

I agree with the point you make about singing actual CCFC songs, if our fans sang songs related to the team or the city itself it wouldn't be a problem and would actually create a better atmosphere and drive the team on as Rob rightly pointed out happened against Oldham.

The old " Your mums your dad" song we used to sing about Leicester raised a smile on my face.

Tears literally used to roll down my face I was cringing that much at grown men getting excited about Leicester being inbred, yet the words to the song made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

If it is not insulting to any individuals or group - I have no problem with it
A bit of banter is good - hence your mums your dad etc, makes no sense at all, but its banter, and upsets nobody

Bullying or racism etc is outside of that however

Somethings can depend on the target - eg - you Fat bastard - to the big Sheff Wed guy who relishes in it, is fine - but to somebody else may be bullying

So cheering your team yes/ banter yes/ but not the other stuff

Totally agree, I really wish our fans could put this one to bed. Its embarrassing.

You know I reckon you do what your username suggests; you lurk in threads and then jump on anything that certain forum members post, you seem a little obsessive with Grendel, Nick and I. I can almost guarantee that when you join in a thread it's to have a go at something one of the three of us have said.

Anyway, were you there Saturday? Did you see how those "fans" were behaving and the things they were saying to an OAP who was there just to do his job? It was out of order the way they were behaving. I notice they weren't being gobby when the police were walking round? I wonder if they would have been so in-the-face to younger stewards? Obviously you think that's acceptable as your first concern is your three favourite forum members who "slag off our fans" and you even manage to get SISU into the thread. Well done, you'll get some "likes" for that.

If they behave like that (it wasn't just banter) then I will certainly have a go at them and I would expect most decent Coventry City fans to feel the same. They were embarrassing, they let themselves down, the club and most importantly the 95% of other fans who turned up to enjoy the sunshine and support their team. If you think that's slagging poor innocent lambs off then fair enough, I ain't going to apologise for it.
