I don't think we could have bought the council share of ACL tbf, that always seemed out of any deal.

Also... nobody thought ACL worth buying as originally constituted, which suggests any interested parties who didn't pursue the Higgs option to conclusion were probably... right not to.

What probably should have been done as use the goodwill on arrival to push for a better deal to own the ground but... why would our owners have done that for any more magnanimous reasons on arrival than now?!? They'd still have been the same owners with the same motivations, just ith public opinion on their side rather than against.
Wasn't suggesting that initially we could have bought the council share, that would have required trust on the (two faced) council side for SISU. However we would have had access to the ACL books and an equal number of seats on the board to the council. We could have proved the claim from Tim that ACL were over charging for things like phone calls etc. Did he ever prove that?

I can't really say that they've got public opinion on their side, not with a straight face anyway.

you would know that because ? :thinking about: Can I suggest that the club file it online in future, very simple process and it is on the Companies House website in hours. Saves unnecessary questions and speculation

"I am assuming it is an oversight on the part of the club," is being charitable for a club that has a regular history of filing things late.

Wasn't a case of being negative, only factual which is precisely why I put the first sentence in the OP

If you are as knowledgeable as you make out in this forum you should know the answer to your question

Also if you are saying you or a client have never had a late set of accounts or annual return you have led a very charmed life!

But how many have had as many late as us since SISU took over? It wasn't that long ago when they put it on the offal that they had filed them. How many clients of his do you think felt the need to do something like that?

I cannot answer that but:

98% of Companies requiring an Annual Return were up to date at the last count

HOWEVER only 77% filed before due date or on time out of nearly 3million

No he didn't understand your post - which I didn't either

I didn't realise following a trail of posts was so difficult but basically it comes back to this quote from oldfiver "It is filed just not online yet". To which OSB replied "you would know that because ?". Oldfiver then replied "If you are as knowledgeable as you make out in this forum you should know the answer to your question"

So what I'm asking Oldfiver is what is the answer to the question that he believes OSB should be knowledgable enough to know? In the interest of truth. He clearly must know the answer to the question he's asked OSB so why doesn't he stop beating around the bush and spit it out?

Well it seems to be not uncommon - for example:

That's SISU's fault. What do the columns refer to?

OK, I see. You just wanted to stir shit. Fair enough.

I'll ask you the question then? What is the answer to the question OSB should be knowledgeable enough to answer?

By the way, you must be a charity. You advised OSB when you stold him "It is filed just not online yet".

That's not the answer to the question OSB asked you. He asked "you would know that because?" In reply to you advising him that it was filled just not online yet.

I'm sorry but there really is no excuse for filing accounts and annual returns late.

Every company knows it's own filing deadlines. I've run my own accounts business for 10 years now, and not one of my clients has ever missed a filing deadline with Companies House.

Strictly speaking you are correct and if you have never had cause to file late you have been either lucky or not had problem accounts.

I will not list all the reasons I have encountered, and I am sure OSB must have had similar problems, but CH are quite sympathetic when a genuine reason - they generally do not cancel the penalty though!

It happens in the best run concerns - has anyone checked ACL in the same detail as CCFC/Otium? - even Higgs were once over a year late at the Charity Commissioners and (less) late the following year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't get a transfer embargo put on us if ACL or Higgs file their accounts late do we?

It amaze's me that when someone discusses something on a CCFC forum that concerns the club and could possibly effect the day to day running of the club some poster's feel the need to deflect the issue onto ACL, Higgs etc.

Why do certain posters on this CCFC forum always take issue with the club being held to account? As a fan and if you want to be sterile about it, as a paying customer isn't it your duty to hold the club to account? I would say yes. So I don't see why others take issue with it.

I don't anything that was said that will impact the day to day running of the club.

No deflection I can see - just relevant comparisons to organisations in similar situations.

So we've never had a transfer embargo before for posting anything late?

Why do we need a comparison? A comparison would be another football club anyway, so that wasn't a comparison it was a quite deliberate deflection.

No, but what about the poor starving chidren?

You mean the young wasps supporters? I didn't realise they were starving. ACL should open the kiosks earlier....
