Don't go. I would love to be at the game today, the inconvenience of northampton and the cost of aticket are not a problem to me. By going to Northampton you are potentially supporting the demise of the club. there is no medium term future at northampton, there will be no new stadium, it is a straight fight for ownership of the ricoh with the club being the piggy in middle and sisu could move us back whenever they want to and increase their income as well but won't its a game of poker and even attending with a free ticket is supporting sisu's tactics.

If you want to go, go. You're not a scab, and you're not potentially contributing to the demise of our club.

If sixfields was a sell out today do you think that would have any impact on the "need" to return to their home city, IMO the only reason their are negotiations are because the crowds have been so low despite our great form, IMO need to put personal pleasure from watching team at northampton aside whilst we think of the longer term future of the club. Demise of the club started when it was moved to northampton, it will be halted when / if we return.

The slow demise of the club started 12 years ago when we were relegated from the PL. In fact it probably started before that, the move to Northampton has only accelerated it.

They are supporting the 11 players on the pitch. I haven't been, and probably won't ever go (I was a Ricoh ST holder) but I won't hammer anyone who goes, it's their choice.

Go up to the turnstiles but instead of going in hold up your 'free' ticket and set fire to it!

That's a weak apology. We all support the players. We just refuse to be seen to support the regime that's killing the club

Everyone has to make their own decision. Personally I've been offered free tickets a couple of times and have chosen not to go as I feel going gives legitimacy to the actions SISU have taken and that non attendance is really the only form of action we have.

I do think attendances being so much lower than Fishers worse case scenario have at the very least contributed to SISU agreeing to talks. If it will lead anywhere who knows.

You see; this really gets me. The travesty of what SISU have done would gain greater publicity if zero fans turned up. Imagine. Week in, week out; zero fans. That would get the publicity our plight deserves and embarrass all parties into solving this farce; and by that I mean SISU, CCC, the football league - I mean everyone who has a level of culpability.

Every fan who attends lessens the impact of the point the stay-away fans are trying to make; legitimises the actions of the owners, and if anything makes resolution less likely. And 'supporting the players' is a weak excuse from the selfish and spineless

Not that I want a spare ticket. I will not step foot inside sixfields but how do you get a free ticket?

The ones I've been offered were through a mate who has a business in Northampton who have dealt with NTFC before, not sure if the offer came from NTFC or if it was coincidental / SISU trying to get some local sponsors.

Tim Fisher said there not giving away free tickets. Hmmmm?

I cannot believe the oppurtunity was missed to have Fisher sitting in an empty stadium apart from away fans, scratching his head saying "where is everyone, how am i going to explain this to Joy, oh shit"

Its purely your decision if you want to go, no one elses.

However I think we all need to face up to the responsibility of our actions.

Those that are going, whether they like it or not are condoning the move. Its no good just shrugging your shoulders and saying its nothing to do with me mate.

The other side of the coin is those of us that aren't going will have to take some of the responsibility when players have to be sold.

Im comfortable with acknowledging my part in this.

I will not go and certainly will not call anybody that goes a scab.

But I do believe that zero attendance at Sixfields would have a dramatic effect on returning us to the Ricoh.
Similarly a full house every week would keep us at Sixfields.
You can calculate that 2000 fans attending is somewhere between the two but is almost certainly delaying a return to Coventry.

I certainly hope that those attending today also go to some away matches otherwise the 'supporting the team' argument goes out the window.

It's not an apology, and they nothing to apologise

For every fan who hates to stay away, but does so to make a point; there are some who sheepishly turn up with limp justification, and by so doing water-down the impact of the vast percentage of those of us who have chosen not to support this farce.

Imagine two scenarios. Firstly, zero fans turn up. Secondly, a few thousand who want to 'cheer on the boys' turn up. Which has most impact, will attract more publicity and bring about a metaphorical banging together of heads?

If you agree it's the former; then those peddling the latter should apologise, as they're protracting the status quo; surely?

Quite right. A deafening silence is what's required.

No. If you attack people who go and then go yourself it's hypocritical, but doing something begrudgingly isn't necessarily.

On the other hand if we were to overfill the place for three games cause traffic chaos how long before the police insist on move back

What about if you profess to love the club, but taccidly support the actions of those killing it. That's hypocritical, isn't it?

True, I don't want to go shopping with the missus this afternoon, but I'm going begrudgingly....am I a hypocrite?

Im not sure the police have the power to tell a private business where it can operate from once the venue has the appropriate license.

Most likely outcome for this would be the club letting people in up to capacity and then the turnstiles would be shut. Those left outside would be told to go home, those that refused would be nicked.

Can't we stop with all this 'killing it' nonesense please?

Gates are 10% of those that prevailed when SISU took over. Even you can calculate that's a 90% reduction in support. To use anything else is delusional

So logically this must include the many people in recent seasons who paid to attend games at the Ricoh to then chant 'Sisu out' also? Or is it just that anyone going to Sixfields is an accessory to murder.

it would look like we all came flooding back due to the good football

we need to stay strong and simply not go !
