Coventry vs Doncaster match thread (2 Viewers)

An look the bbc even say that Doncaster had lots of chances - not just me making it up.

Home keeper Joe Murphy had to be at his best to keep the scores level.
Murphy turned James Husband's deflected shot round a post before denying David Cotterill either side of half-time.
Rovers' Dean Furman, who also headed over from close-range, hit the post with a 25-yard shot, while Aaron Martin made an incredible goal-line clearance from a late Cotterill effort.

We did - typical game of two halves, just a shame we couldn't take one of our chances, especially that back-of-the-leg clearance when your keeper was beaten....

Fine win today just as i said we would win, bet all the negative fans feeling bit daft now all i want now is for the deluded mackems to get stuffed by man u tomorrow and be so glad PUSB!!

Bet you were hoping the patient passing play too

I've said it was a good pass, what else do you want me to fecking do? In fact I said we have a number of players who could play that pass...surely that's praising the squad???

Shows what a crazy league it is that we can double the league leaders but get doubled by the likes of Shrewsbury.

U hate the fact we won today because certain players started

No I didn't boo, and Loved it that we won today, it was a great end to a shit week, in fact I gave Barton MOTM in the players rating thread and gave fleck a generous mark.

It was a good pass. Do you honestly think that no one else in the squad is capable of switching play?

Not with anywhere near the quality that Fleck can, no-although Barton is the next most capable.

Same we did not get to see the full repertoire of Barton and Flecks skills this season.

The amount of times people said they are too lightweight to be in the same team

They played well today, but lets not get ahead of ourselves it was one game and donny weren't the most physical in the midfield and rarely pressed us I the first half,

They have had plenty of time to show the repertoire. Fleck has featured in 36 games this season!

Fantastic performance today. Fleck and Barton were a revelation and Ball was great too.

They have the best away form in the league

We had the second best away record....how did we do at pompy? How did fleck play in that game? If they continue to start for the rest of the season and put performances in like that then fair enough lets get the band wagon out for them.

Thought Adam Barton was outstanding today, showed for the ball, rarely gave it away and tracked and closed down well.Best home performance all season for me.Callum Ball may not be the most gifted player, but led the line well, and certainly worked his socks off.Question is did anybody feel we missed Mcsheffrey?;)

Yes we did, he's our 'biggest threat'!

Seriously though, he's fucking terrible, so glad he got dropped, about time top, if it were Fleck or Barton playing that, you'd have Grendel and Stupot all over them slagging them off, clear double standards.

Double standards would be to say they were poor - other than Christie I rated Barton as the best player. Fleck was the best player in the first half.

What is ridiculous is to say that they have not been given chances -- Fleck has featured in 36 games this season and 90% of the time has looked poor.

Maybe just the fact they are top of the league then.

How many has McSheffrey had? 46-48?

Fleck was sporadically in the team, Sheff had a consistent run, and was consistently shit.

43 - 7 more than Fleck

I see. So are we better than Doncaster who we did the double over and worse than Shrewsbury?

If that is an argument you want to make, you go ahead.

I will stick to mine if you don't mind.

The boys did well against a very good team. It is a shame they have not featured more this season.

Every time I have seen them their class has been obvious.
