All these posts and threads about having to play elsewhere, who says ? . These latest events are the opening shots of what is likely to be a bitter scrap. Have ACL said the Ricoh is off limits ? No, not even met yet. Stop all this scaremongering.Things will of been discussed and the possible scenarios looked into. IMO we will play out our remaining matches at the Ricoh, unless our owners try to move us

If sisu are trying to do what it looks like their trying to do, then the rent agreement with acl is now void. Therefore ccfc cannot play at the Ricoh.

I can't see ACL letting the club play at the Ricoh when no rent has been paid.

That makes the probability of us playing our home games elsewhere, highly likely.

Thats my point everyman and his dog have a point of view and having the Ricoh gates padlocked seems to be top of the list. ACL ain't daft, need to take the people with them on this. My guess this is a stalling tactic from SISU in the opening shots of battle. The 28th of March is a significant date in this saga, being put into admin before that date we lose points this season after it's next which is why ACL have gone for today, thinking of the supporters IMO, sisu ? well when have they thought about any supporters.

Only that we are in talks to be fair.

Could be just a contingency I suppose.

Not sure what else ACL can do though besides lock the gates if they wish to stick to their guns.

I really wouldn't swallow that bull shit line from ACL that they are doing this for the fans.
There number 1 priority is themselves.

As i said they haven't even met yet. So jumping to the conclosion that we are barred from the Ricoh and off to Walsall or wherever is just scaremongering.

Us moving to another stadium is in talks according to SSN. "
Coventry are ready to finish the season away from the Ricoh Arena after effectively writing off their debt to the stadium's owners."

Let's see what today brings, I fear the worst.

Mate, lost somewhere in the various threads last night it was basically discussed that Sisu, in quickly transferring everything bar the rent agreement into ccfc holdings Ltd, effectively canceled the lease. ACL get nothing. Sisu self terminated the Ricoh arrangement and really screwed up ACL in the process.

Whether what Sisu did is legal or not we don't know yet. Either way is only bad for CCFC.

Yeah I get that Si, the whole situation is bad news for our club.

It's quite simple, SSN reported last night that they had be informed by a club spokesman that preparations to play elsewhere had been made and that this had FA approval. It isn't as though someone just made this up.

No, ACL's priority no 1 is to force sisu out. This is personal now - have been for some time.

There are no consideration for the fans.
Their action would ensure a 10pt deduction and maybe even a further 15pt penalty if sisu didn't leave quietly accepting any offer from the buyers ACL have summoned.
Sisu's move have a chance of avoiding the 10pt penalty - a slim chance, but still a chance - and will make sure no extra penalties are forced on the club.
If we get a 10pt penalty it will be this season, so we can start next season on equal terms to the rest of the league. That wouldn't be possible if ACL were in control of proceedings.

I would rather support Coventry city on -500 points than some team in Walsall.

Will make sure no extra penalties are forced on the club? Apart from penalising the fans you mean?

We're not important though are we.

BOTH Sisu AND ACL are to blame. Don't understand some of the bias on this forum at times.

BOTH sides are hurting the fans and the fans ARE the club.

If we move then Sisu are enforcing penalties on the club.

Not only did SSN, ITV, BBC & The telegraph say so. More importantly - the statement they were reporting from came from ACL. The statement in short is.. If SISU are going to take control of the administration to wipe if what they owe. They are now (& have been since the rent was in arrears) in breach of contract - this contract will be terminated.. ie: we can't play in there any more.

For this to then spread to "ccfc have found another ground in the midlands to play at" means SISU knew this would happen & have already taken precautions. For SISU to have released a statement to say "ACL have kicked us out.. But we have another West Midlands stadium to play in" also indirectly says that not only did SSN, ITV, BBC, the telegraph, and ACL "say so" but so did SISU..

Sat and read the 300 odd posts last night about playing at Walsall and not sure what to really make of it. All the decisions being made are purely in the name of business. In the current climate it is dog eat dog more than ever. When it was announced a few weeks ago that for the game at Walsall we would be given the whole stand down the side as well as behind the goal I thought Walsall were being a little premature. Yes we could take thousands if we were still in the hunt for a play off place. But if we had dropped off the pace we would take around a thousand. Now to move some of their supporters out if that stand so early could mean that this was after sisu had held talks with Walsall back then with this contingency plan. Those talks to play elsewhere must have been going on for a few weeks. Oh and I do not blame ACL as they are the ones that have been bent over and shafted by SISU.

Why do you think it is a contingency plan?
I think it is plan A.

It is a contingency plan as I am sure sisu did not want it to come to this. I am sure they hoped that ACL would buckle and take the deal on the table. They haven't so this is plan b.

Hang on, how is any side thinking of fans by putting their club into admin!? I'd rather not go into admin at all!

Also, if we were destined for mid table, I would be too fussed if we went into admin, but we're 3 points off playoffs, with Tranmere and Yeovil above us, both looking like they've lost the plot... We could get into the playoffs this season! We won't if we get a points deduction! So how are ACL thinking of the club and its fans!?

Said the same as you last night. Nothing surprises me with the clowns that ruin our club but until ACL say CCFC cannot play at the Ricoh I wont believe it. They are tied into a contract with Compass where Compass make a good deal of money so it is not in their interest to stop us playing at the Ricoh. More likely that ACL will ban the likes of Fisher and Seppala from the stadium.

Of course CCFC can play at the Ricoh....pay £1.3mill inn advance, and the doors will be open.... :p

ACL have just said they are not locking us out of the Ricoh.

The Ricoh is still available then. We could always play there if we're stuck.

Total rubbish. As bad as CJ and all the other girls last night. ACL said "internet rumours" that CCFC will be locked out of the Ricoh are untrue. Found-less scaremongering.

If sisu are trying to do what it looks like their trying to do, then the rent agreement with acl is now void. Therefore ccfc cannot play at the Ricoh.
