It's not an exaggeration to say playing consistently like that over a season he could get a nod for an England squad.

Who's ahead of him?! Have I missed anyone

Definitely:
Guehi
Konsa
Stones
Quansah

Prospects:
Colwill
Branthwait
Chalobah

Unique:

Dan Burn who is basically a role player, brought along because he is a huge presence in both boxes as well as competent at defending

Good time to be an English centre back as there isn't competition like the 2000s!

If Tuchel goes Maguire probably comes back in.

James Hill is a good prospect
Acheampong
Harwood Bellis
Heaven from United

I like Colwill & Quansah was good in the last game. I worry about Guehi sometimes when he faffs around with the ball & then falls on it to get a foul, I fear that 1 day the referee will play on & it will cost England a goal. Thomas just loves defending & his only weak point is his distribution but the way England play with Rice or Anderson dropping deep he can just pass it to them. I'd love him to get a call up but not sure he stands a chance whilst playing for us.

All probably true, still a lot Infront of him. Heaven looks a real prospect and Mfuni. forgot about Tomori. Seems to be. A bit of a waste at Milan.

I suppose Bobby is a very different than everyone else on that list, less culture more blood and thunder. Maybe his best bet is being that Burn style option someone to bring on when things get tight.

More worrying is that we now only have 3 fit centre .backs. Pinnock and Mfuni and worryingly Lati

I seem to remember him against Spurs pulling up holding his knee. But yesterday looked like his heel, could be connected but doubt we will find out quickly unless its a serious issue. Hopefully he gets a clean scan and is back quickly, he is one of a few that we would miss on current form.

You need to learn that song to reveal which bones are actually connected.

I've said exactly the same about guehi

Looked like his heel so maybe achilles.
Doubt he'd have came back on with a fucked ACL
To be fair, didn't Jodi Jones come back on with one of his many ACL injuries?

Think I remember against Peterborough he went off, came back on and then almost immediately went down again.

(Not suggesting it's an ACL for Thomas, this just popped into my head)

He did, but that was just buying time to get the sub ready. Walked back on the pitch 2 steps and sat down.

I'm sure when Bobby came off, he was holding his heel and at first I thought he could have had blood on his sock as it looked like the ref sent him to the dugout. But he did intercept a ball beforehand opposed with one of their players so could have had stud down the ankle which is pretty painful!

Which begs the question why am injured Woolfenden gets a squad number ahead of Bidwell
Because Mfuni is better and Bidwell will almost certainly be moving on in the Jan window.

Also Bidwell is not going to throw a strop but I doubt that is the case with Woolfenden.

If Thomas is out for a while then surely given our lack of cover at CB we should be recalling Kitchen from Shef Utd who Wilder has said is their best player this season
