So... turns out the bloke killed by a tiger in Doncaster didn't have learning difficulties after all. He did, however, post a photo of himself with a bible and a crossbow shortly before.

All perfectly normal then(!)

I'm going to suggest that someone entering a Tiger enclosure, sitting on the floor and telling it off, might have had some mental health issues.

Grrrrrrrrrreat

what is a boble

So sad and an interesting challenge for these sort of zoos and parks. Are they responsible for people doing absolutely mad things leading to their own deaths

Probably and certain changes will need to be made I would think

The family have said he had significant mental illness this morning, reported on bbc. I don't think you can blame the park for this but I do think enclosures for animals like this should be foolproof.

They are foolproof really, it would have taken an incredible effort to get in. Would be much easier to go and sit in the middle of the motorway but I don't think we can completely cage those off.

Sorry I don't see how they are responsible. The theme park in the US where someone fell out of a Rollercoaster, they are responsible. If someone is determined to do something incredibly dangerous you can't guard against it always.

‘The train was responsible for the death of the guy who stepped in front of it.’

Yeah ultimately we don't let man eating tigers steel down a street on a lead, but if they can't get out and it takes a significant willful effort to get in, then that's as much as they can do I'd have thought.

People seem to react differently because its a living creature that killed the man and we need to further cage it in for some reason but its really no different to having something that says 'Danger of Death 10,000 volts' or whatever. That thing will be guarded to stop people wandering in but if someone is determined enough to get in, break into the box or whatever it is and smash their face into the wires then there's not much you can do.

The Tiger is lucky he did not encounter The Donald

Thought LG said the man in there didn’t have learning disabilities ?

Can always rely on Trump to deliver a poor taste post !

Maybe Trump thinks that's how a tiger actually would react to him so he'll jump in the enclosure next time he's at the zoo 🤞🏻

Good point

There would rightfully be uproar if the tiger was harmed in any way. Only one thing accountable in all this and it ain’t the zoo or the tiger.

The tiger was just being a tiger.

It doesn't really have any business being in Doncaster.
It does if its part of a conservation breeding programme. They are still being poached in large numbers (relative to their population).

I reckon he's safer there than being in the wild and arguably doing more good for the survival of the species.

Doncaster though?

I wouldn't wish it on you.

Nah, I get your point.

The only time it would be reasonable to shoot would be if you somehow got there quick enough to save the human by doing so. I don't really like it as i like animals but you kind of have to, although i would prefer to get it away with non-lethal methods in most cases. Once the moment has passed and the man is dead anyway i don't think there's much chance of the animal being killed, certainly in animal loving western countries, as the PR would be awful. I don't know why so many thought it would happen.

Coming over here taking our land, eating our men...
I think he was a Bengali, we're ok with them. It's the Somalian tigers that need to be vetted. This one they said was only 4 years old but looks more like 8 to me.

Someone needs to check his teeth. Its the only really accurate way if he's thrown his passport away.

And other species except the human variety?

So did he have mental health issues or not? Supposedly he was severly autistic

What are the chances of finding a tiger in the middle of a motorway ?
