Match Thread Coventry City vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC (H) - Match Thread - Sun 13th September (2pm KO) (5 Viewers)

I think its the most logical player to drop out though really if we are bringing Cherif in.
Yes, Sakamoto will go for Gboho and perhaps Torp will go for Wright, if we ever get a fully fit squad.

Onyeka and Grimes are way too slow for a central MF pairing, I can see Brighton passing around that pair for fun. 0-2 incoming. (Obviously hope im wrong but we dont offer much pace or threat in that line up)

Imo, our only chance is to keep it 0-0 for an hour, and then throw some attacking subs on.

Think sakamoto is probably border line now.
Yep defo. Think he drops out when Wrights back. Its a weird balance on that bench with such little defenders but i guess we can go back 4 and Yerinkyi has experience in a back 5.

Keeping Simms will ultimately prove completely pointless. Out of the squad and thats without Wright being back, should have taken any money we were offered.

How much was offered ? Who by ? Did he want to leave ? I’ve said before, the fans know fuck all as proven by the Ghobo signing so not sure it’s worth negative speculation

Not sure I’d have started both EMC and Rudoni. Two weak links in this formation last week.
Rudoni is superb when fully fit... but we lack attacking intensity when he isn't, plus he tends to have too many touches of the ball when he isn't quite on it which means we lose impetus at times.

That said, I thought he was beginning to show signs of sharpness at Plymouth, so perhaps a gamble worth making...

Rudoni needs to be more disciplined in the role. Last week he was leaving too much room on the right side and too narrow at times. Personally would have preferred LT.

Plymouth was 3 games ago and against significantly lower level opposition. Tchoauna should have started this i think

Almost the entire Championship would take Simms. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise and a very easy player to move on.

Go and watch the crap Blunts and Wolves have upfront today and youll see he would get in both

Not without scoring
I mean we are expanding the stats quite a bit here. But how many have played 1st and 2nd away from home from from the previous season in the opening 3

See we can all add pointless stuff , the stat is the stat

I'm also sure we will have a 1 year option in our favour.

the stat is skewed by the fact non are newly promoted. All had "Premier League" players, all had experiences surviving relegation.

I think you've probably shared it and not the fact that none of them were promoted teams to try and soothe your worry about our start

Can only think BTA is in to be the one size fits all cover. Really like the guy but hope he doesn’t feature today as hard to see how that can be a positive over other options.
