Match Thread Coventry City vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC (H) - Match Thread - Sun 13th September (2pm KO) (5 Viewers)

Had something come up last minute so touch and go if I can attend, the club want to take a £50 fee if they can manage to sell it, so it's no benefit to me at all. Going to keep it and potentially a seat won't be used through the greed of the club.

Massive game today.

We need points on the board to keep us in touch with other teams and just as importantly keep the positive mindset.

Not saying a loss today is season over but can’t keep saying ah but we’ve played Arsenal and Man City and could have had a point against Hull if not for…..

Predicting a draw today

What are the thoughts on these odds offered by p.p.? Bobby Thomas , two or more shots on target 20/1 city win 14/5. that is a 63/1 double.

Without trying to sound over confident that hardly strikes fear into me. I know that’s part of the Brighton machine is that they pull new unheard of players from nowhere every year who end up being unbelievable.
Its not but when you consider every player probably gets in our first 11 it does

Why would you expect to receive anything because you signed up to 19 pre-paid games (for a discount) and it's your own fault you might not be able to make 1?

Try going down Bookers and getting the money back for 2 tins of baked beans when you bought a pallet

That’s a predicted line up but we didn’t fear Man City so we can’t fear anyone at home.

Hoping to see this in attack

LT Hamer YG
Big T

But knowing Frank probably

LT Rudoni EMC
Big T

Wasn’t viewing this too differently from other games, however woke up this morning with that big game feel.

Obviously season isn’t over, still lots of games to play etc etc, but we need something from today predominantly from a mentality perspective.

Lots to build on from Man City, so even a draw gives us some momentum.

That's the whole point of the ticket exchange.

A win helps the belief that we belong and can pick up wins in the league. The other 2 promoted teams got that in game 1, we need it ASAP.
Its not a must win, but a win will be massive for us to kick on from. Draw gives us something but we need to get amongst it now

Today's game won't be easy, but it is easier than our last game away to Manchester City. To give an idea how difficult the game is...if we lose today we will have lost to the teams in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th 😆

We are 4 games in, they wont end all end up there.

Brighton are a decent team, even with injuries, and will likely have a lot of the ball. I just hope the crowd don't get too restless with us not controlling the game.

Due to that we need to set up pretty solidly for the start and maybe look for a bit more going forward later on.

Keep the same formation from Man City as it worked well.

Rushworth
Thomas Pinnock Amenda
MvE Onyeka Grimes Dasilva
Tchaouna Gboho
Awoniyi

Gone with those two AM's as they're wingers and can go wide into a 3-4-3 but could swap it out for the likes of Yirenkyi, Hamer or Torp if we wanted to be more central.

Yirenkyi doesn't have the discipline and his passing can be a bit sloppy for him to replace Grimes yet.

Either way hope we can get our first goal(s) and point(s) on the board.

I'd opt for more legs in the middle (-Grimes) and Rudoni

It shows current form for the opponents we've faced so far. It's a lot easier to face teams on a bad run than teams top of the recent form table.
We played Hull second game in, how is that any indication of form or run.

My understanding is you don’t pay a fee to put it on the ticket exchange. If they sell the ticket, the club keeps that fee and you get a £25 voucher to use online.

How deep into the season would we have to get with no or very few points before the squad has a massive monkey on their backs that they really can’t shake off?

A point would be something but I’m not satisfied in settling with it.

If by the next block of 6 we have 3 or less we are finished.

Anyone at Bermuda or Bedworth isn't getting on the train. Quite a few left behind at Nuneaton. Absolutely rammed.

Same. Had something come up last minute so if we win today I can never go again
