Rangers Pre-Season Friendly

Boring and clueless as standard.

The poster you reply holds both Celtic and Rangers in equal distain.
I asked him a question.

You might be thin skinned but you should still know what a question mark means

We've come a long way since Exeter away was considered suitable opposition for a pre-season game the week before the season kicked off.

Worst thing about these games is when Scottish teams beat English teams in a pre-season friendly they suddenly get very confident about how non shit they are as if friendlies count for anything at all. I know its meaningless but i do hope we drill them

It always makes me laugh how they both go on about being the most successful club in the world with zero irony.

Reminds me of the 1991 preseason under Butcher at Kilmarnock. Was that Paul Furlong's debut or am I imagining that? God he was rubbish!

BR kindly held the train connection at Carlisle or we were stuck for the night

This confirmed yet?

at least we'll get to see Shankland.................................... at last!!! hahahhahaaha
I hate the way Hearts nearly win the trophy then their players start being cherry picked by the top 2 big clubs. Same in the Prem, Palace and Bournemouth players already linked with top clubs. .

Used to be loads of Celtic tops in County Coundon back in the day. There is one old fellah who always wears the full kit walking his dog.

I used to assume Celtic were probably the second most supported team in the city (based on just seeing loads of shirts around or the memorabilia in some of the Irish pubs), but that's probably someone like Arsenal or Liverpool nowadays

Would've hoped we were lining up a decent level of opponent before playing in the Premier League

There shouldn't be, and I say that as someone who favours Celtic over Rangers.
Keep it away from supporting City.

Seen a few Rangers flags as well, one at Watford wasn't even City Rangers, just Rangers. Daft bastards.

Another flag at the Blackburn away game. Fucking ick.

I agree, support either if you wish if that is what you are into but keep it away from CCFC

Hotels are mega expensive, Commonwealth Games are in Glasgow same time 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Can you remember those “half and half” ski hats from the 80s? A relative bought me a half Coventry/ Celtic one from Christmas. Even at the age of 11 thought it would be odd to wear, so I never did.

The Scottish team I liked/ like were/ are Stenhousemuir anyway, but I don’t think there was much call for them to be on a 50/50 hat.

I enjoyed Exeter! Didn't take long to get to and Milan was sitting in the crowd after signing. My daughter (and plenty others) went up and chatted to him.
Lovely day. But in no way was it suitable opposition before playing Leicester the following week who had just dropped down from the PL and were playing their last pre-season friendly against Liverpool on the same day!
Its no wonder we started the season so slowly.

I enjpyed the game at Exeter, remember Milan in the crowd, and the City fans singing ‘sign the contract at Hamer. Obikwu played, perhaps as sub, I can’t remember, but I thought he looked a good player and was excited to see him progress…..

I watched it as Exeter Comms streamed it live.
Hamer came on for the second half and the commentator said
He's only been on the field for seven minutes and he's already man of the match
