Agreed and I hope he does (post European adventure with us). He’s also very good with the media which is a key part of that job.

Being arguably one of our best England midfielders, ie got the t-shirt helps 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

But we know that doesn't guarantee anything in football.

Nah, I was too tired to smash anything tbh. Long day at work followed by hospital visits, meant I only caught the last half hour of the match, which didn't improve the day any!

It's a Typical Boro moment all over, we struggle against the low block anyway, but we're regretting not breaking the bank and throwing 12M plus on a ready made striker, probably from overseas.

Armstrong wasn't the answer though, goes missing for large chunks of the season.
TBH, I think you'll be fine. You are more than capable to getting autos. We all have our blips and our meltdowns, it is why we all love the Championship so much. Ideal outcome for me would be Us, Boro and Millwall in the Prem.

Last season, with a few starting before losing the playoff final, there were plenty of their fans saying he was done and needed to go. That worked out well for them.
Just watch their games and see the repeating pattern which he does nothing about. If they had appointed someone with a decent track record things would have been very different. Their squad is strong , Wilder is hopeless when games need changing.

Checking back in after a couple of weeks away.

Almost there Coventry fans - well done.

As per, we gave ourselves a bit of daylight to third and then decided to lose at home to Charlton. Its a concern, a few weeks back, we looked at the fixtures. Away games looked tricky and the home games looked a bit more favourable. The task was simple, win the home games and we have a great chance at second. Since then, we have not won a home game, drawing with Oxford and Leicester and losing to Charlton and have won both away games - Birmingham and QPR. Typical Championship inconsistency. The concern comes from the confidence our last three home games will have given teams, sit deep and we really struggle to break them down. We are creating chances, lots of them in fact but we just don't have that finisher in the right position. We need to fix the home form or we can kiss goodbye to second place.

Saturday bring Bristol City, in recent times our bogey team. I think its 6 wins in the last 28 fixtures against them and no wins since 2020 against them. They will put on their best performance since, the home game against us. They have no first choice defenders and two loan players from us not allowed to play so the scene is set for a 1-0 Bristol City win isnt it.

In all seriousness and maybe im still recovering from 3 days in Amsterdam but i think we will get reaction this weekend. I think Hellberg will make some bold changes. Its suggested he does not have a plan B, this isn't true. At Birmingham he surprised everyone playing three at the back with wing backs, he now needs to find something else for the home games.

Interesting couple of weeks upcoming, Us, Millwall and Ipswich all play each other.

Praying we can keep hold of second spot!!

You'll beat Bristol City easily - and would, even if I was your centre forward for the day. They're poor, injury ravaged at the back and (bar Sheff Wed and PNE) probably the best team to face at the moment. You should get autos, but obviously those head to heads v Millwall and Ipswich are likely to be crucial. Good luck, and I'd prefer Millwall going up over Ipswich.

Play one up front and flood midfield with runners and get them out of there box before dinking a ball over their defensive line. Keep getting Conway to alternate diagonal runs and your midfield running with the ball directly at them (create panic)and they will eventually separate and leave space to play through

Why wish them good luck. I hope Millwall go up - be hilarious

That's what I meant to imply. I don't want Ipswich to go up, and for me it's between them and M'Boro for second place. I want Millwall up obviously, but think their run in probably prevents autos. If I could cherry pick from a selfish point of view with regards to next season, I'd like us, Millwall and Preston (chuckles) to make it.

Was that one goal a penalty by any chance?

If you’re talking about your striker’s heat map, it’s a clear sign there’s not much going for them in front of goal.

Imagine if we did this for Haji when he went on his dry spell… 😂
Not sure that even in Haji's dry spell(s) he went through anything as bad as that. The daft thing is, if Stansfield scores a goal or two across half a dozen games, they'll be talking him up as the next England striker. It's just occurred to me that he gives off David Batty vibes with his scowling demeanour,

Hearing Leif Davis banned for 3 games for Ipswich and Kipre has a 2 game ban. That won’t help their run in, although their squad depth could cover?

I still think you will get second. But you do need to start finishing!

Be nice for a Wrexham win tonight.

Never usually root for them, but if they beat Swansea tonight, that would leave Swansea 8 points adrift of their neighbours, with 8 games to go.

Would probably end their playoff ambitions right there. That's a lot to make up, 8 points in 8 games and there are already 5 teams above them anyway as it stands, to get to the top 6 places.

A defeat may well have them less motivated when they play us next week. Maybe even with one eye on the beach for some players.
