A perfectly reasonable comment but the point is that CWR have taken out of context. So it is something he actually said then?

Sorry to say that having watched the interview back, Woolfy is being a bit precious here. His mentions about the season being difficult for him and not being the season he imagined are obviously some of the most noteworthy/unusual parts of what is otherwise a pretty bog standard interview. So you can understand why someone else at CWR picked it out, because that’s their job.He wasn’t trying to upset the apple cart.
It was a very measured interview by him.
CWR interviews are poor. I know Lorna Bailey is a fan, but her stint on the City games was poor. She was too close to her emotions and was negative even during games we won.
As I said, if Woolfy is upset about overly negative and sensationalist coverage now, good luck to him next season!Agree with the misrepresentation bit about Woolfy, but there are a lot more amateurish local radio stations than CWR, when it comes to footie coverage. Some of the stuff from opposition stations on ifollow has been hilarious in the past (both quality and bias)
When you listen to the other stations, you do realise CWR is one of the better ones.
I think it was Norwich or Preston radio who hired someone who just screamed down the microphone at every little tackle. It gave me a headache how he carried on and how bias they were. This was when we had Clive still and made me realise how good we had itchrist…. Really?

It’s not the local media’s responsibility to be happy clappy about the club all the time, especially when the fans themselves are asking ridiculously negative questions of the team. The focus on negativity drove me mad earlier this season as well when they'd be asking other players after the game what they thought of Haji Wright's goal drought. What are they expected to say?

What would you ask the players after the game?I agree that his drought is something worth discussing, but I don't see what is to be gained by bringing it up with the players post-match?
I appreciate CWR isn't there for the clubs benefit, but the doubling down on the same negative aspects in the phone ins/fancasts/etc week in, week out can be tiring
The fans forum after Robins was sacked was embarrassing and turned into a farce, I am amazed Doug never walked out of it - There lies the drawback of having Rob and Lorna who are obviously fans on the mic as they let their emotions override their professionalismCWR are burning their bridges each season with King.
It started with how they handled the fans forum after the Robins sacking. Note Kimg tends to use the clubs own resources now for set piece interviews.
CWR need City and City need CWR …. Gurney isn’t essential to either.
I don’t mind Rob actually, he’s a fan with a mic. You won’t get insights but you do get raw emotion.

Fair play him calling it out
That new bloke seemed alright thoughCWR just isn’t very good these days. Gurney has a massive ego. Lorna acts too much like a fan. Oggy is Oggy.
Think he’s probably just frustrated that he’s come in to the team, kept a clean sheet and won and the headline is about him not playing.I don't really see what the issue is here to be honest. It is true he hasn't been playing much, and it is true that he isn't happy about it.
I watched the interview and he does talk about the team as the priorty, which is great, and what you have to come expect from our players who seem to uphold good standards and be professional. I suppose they could have gone with a better headline to reflect that, but equally if he hadn't said anything here I wouldn't have even noticed. I feel as if this reaction is a little bit over the top from him, which has now made it about himself.
It's not surprising after the fans forum, it was like something out of Phoenix Nights.I suspect there’s a bit of a rift between the squad/club and CWR. Don’t think Frank likes them.
A lot of the social media stuff is done in Salford. I'm in the office today so going to go down to MC and put the windows in.A lot of hate towards CWR here but it looks to be a post from BBC Sport at a national level, I'd guess the CWR team who have the relationships with the players and club have nothing to do with it.
Yours sincerely,
CWR employee.
You mean SBT?That new bloke seemed alright though
