So , so predictable & now we might miss out on the best chance for 25 years , so please Frank & with Doug’s help of investment, get us to the promised land
Playing a back four with wingbacks was never going to be workable over a lengthy period.
Plan A is give the ball to Grimes to slow the game down even if we’re losingNot sure what the plan A is atm
Grimes had the 4th to 17th of Jan off... should we have given him the whole month off???Sign Hamer and Burrows go 352
Rushworth
Thomas - Woolfenden - Kitching
van Ewijk - Torp - Hamer - Burrows
Rudoni
Simms - Wright
just give Grimes a rest he needs it, when BTA is back start him over whoever is the most out of form up front, and when EMC is back go 343, or even switch it up to a 343 or 433 at 60 by bringing on Esse, Saka, Dasilva and Grimes
Plsn B was play offs...thays looking like a good acomplishment atm with teams hitting form below us.Not sure what the plan A is atm

Change super to stupid. Then you’ve got a hit song. We’ve got super Frankie Lampard
Frankie’s got no need for plan B
Just six men in attack
The full backs don’t get back
And a gaping hole where the midfield should be.![]()
Moreover, he’s supposed to have a very high IQ. He’s looking very stupid now isn’t he? Stubbornly sticking to the same tactics every match and expecting a positive outcome is a recipe for disaster. It’s so easy to game plan against us.How a world class midfielder in his time can't see the biggest fucking gulf in the middle of the park week in, week out is beyond me.
A high IQ and a high football IQ are not the same thing (eg David Beckham). I do think Frank has both though, but he needs to be tough and if he continues with subs by numbers, going like for like in Robins style and not changing the formation, then he'll ultimately fail. Moreover, he’s supposed to have a very high IQ. I think it would work with Onyeka and Dasilva as well to be honestI agree with most of what you say but I can’t see us buying Hamer or Burrows. We might get Onyeka, although he may not want to come if he has watched videos of our recent games.
There isn't even a hint of anyone coming in now.I think it would work with Onyeka and Dasilva as well to be honest

Thing that I don't get with Grimes is that his passing was fabulous early in the season and he hardly ever gave the ball away. Not sure why everyone is jumping on the 'Grimes needs a rest' bandwagon.
He regularly plays a full season at this level and it's not a position where he's running the most. He's fit, strong and doesn't rely on pace. Only a few weeks ago, everyone agreed how important he is, that hasn't changed. What he needs is help in there.
Whether that's Onyeka or another I have no idea, but a strong ball winner who works box to box.
He's certainly not at his best currently but yesterday the pitch was terrible....QPR's pitch is worse than many non league clubs.Thing that I don't get with Grimes is that his passing was fabulous early in the season and he hardly ever gave the ball away.
Mr. Consistent. Now all of a sudden, some of his passing seems to have gone to shit.![]()
I think the passing is because sometimes nobody is short enough to receive it. When that hole in midfield is greater, the passes become longer and more difficult. He's certainly not at his best currently but yesterday the pitch was terrible....QPR's pitch is worse than many non league clubs.
Not making excuses for the overall performance yesterday but that pitch played a part for sure (QPR players are used to it).
