Are they playing first one to blink by any chance? Why do they always take it to the wire before making a decision! Walk away for fuck sake DK they are taking the piss. I know what I would do and that is take it to the last minute and then say "no thanks" and leave the player in limbo just like they do to us! Fuck em!

I wouldn't be telling Brentford that we are walking away but I would want us to be in talks with other players. It appears that there is a risk that Onyeka won't happen and we certainly need someone of his type.

LAMPARD - NOTHING IS DONE

Coventry City Head Coach Frank Lampard has been talking to the Coventry Telegraph regarding any more transfer business before the window closes on Monday evening.

“Nothing at the moment and until the window is closed nothing’s done," said Lampard.

"But at the moment I think what we’ve done is what we’ve done. That’s where we’re at.

“We’re aware that the market’s open, so we’ll see. If there was something that we felt could help the squad, then that could happen. But if not, we’ve got our squad.”

A masterclass by FL in using a lot of words to say absolutely nothing 😊

This isn't criticism by the way. I don't want him to be saying anything about our intentions.

Anyone else feeling a bit demoralised over our lack of action? We and they know we’re light in midfield and seeing other sides strengthen there while we twiddle out thumbs is sticking the knife in.
Do we want promotion or not? Doug needs to give Frank any help he can to get us up, as I said before nothing else matters, not resale value, not even wages at this stage, it all falls apart if we don’t go up

I get the feeling this isn’t going to happen. It has a very Stamenic” vibe about it.
Feels as if the agent is hawking him around to drive up the price. We know Doug won’t be pushed around (and so he shouldn’t).
Can see a last minute move to Blues or someone else who will pay more wages

And we end up with nothing

You could also look at Franks comments as a bluff towards the player too “if something happens it happens, if it doesnt we’re happy with what we’ve got” - A big “we dont NEED you” comment hidden there too if you look at it from that perspective.

Tbf I genuinely believe we have the squad depth to win the league now, but wouldnt mind another CM

My Dads 96 and just renewing his car insurance with some old prople insurance company, they quoted him cheaper than all the others that was some Saga
Wow. Still driving at 96.

My dad was still changing light bulbs at 92. 🙄 Bloody numpty.

Worse thing he did though, when he was in his 80's, was that he got in a rent dispute with the council and he climbed up on the roof and did a dirty protest.

Went on for days, but in the end the council relented and stepped back from the situation and wiped the slate clean.

I’d give him till lunch time Monday then make a cheeky Hamer bid of £6m plus writing off what they owe which I understand is £4m.
Chance for Hamer to get a shot at promotion.
