At one stage I was nearly 20st but they could never understand how other than being morbidly obese and failing the breathing test because of smoking everything else was seen as good. Now down to 16st and not far off the ideal weight for me.

Not in the UK. I'm about 6'2" and I don't see that many near my height. I would put you as aboit average. In France I'm normally noticeable as they are shorter than in the UK but when I'm with my Dutch friends I can be closer to the women's height than the men.
