That said, I hope there’s no chance of a recall before the end of the month…

How do you know?
The loan was till the end of the season, the recall window is January.

He will almost certainly move on at the end of the season. His manager (Oliver Glasner) has publicly said he isnt what Palace need, so theres no chance of him staying at Palace unless they sack their manager.

The palace board are considering sacking him after comments he has made after the Sunderland game yesterday lol

Looks like hes safe for now, but on his way at the end of the season.

I think he's trying to get himself sacked, the situation could quickly become untenable.
There’s no recall option for Esse
Has that been reported somewhere?

Not sure what else he is expecting from Palace tbh
Well I'd imagine the ability to sign some players considering they sold Eze for how much, sold his captain the season after he's won them a trophy and got them into europe.

You are clearly on the wind up again

They just broke their club record transfer by signing Johnson

They were never going to turn down £20m for Guehi with 6 months on his contract. It's the reality of being that size of club.

Glasner has done himself no favours either by not signing a new deal, why would they spend big on backing a manager who only has 6 months left too?

Go back to the match thread and look at some comments about Esse… 😬 when was the last time a new player received a big standing ovation on his first home outing?

Look at the summer they had after selling Eze.

He told the owner he would leave if they sold Guehi on deadline day like they were about to.

Hes an excellent manager whos been told to work with scraps.

I'm annoyed at myself by getting baited into this clear wind up material.

Glasner is gone at end of season regardless. Esse will probably get a chance under a new boss, even if he then moves on after that.

Glasner is leaving at the end of the season, whether or not he gets sacked.

I hope there’s a chance we can sign him.

I remember Stuart Pearce getting a huge standing ovation at HR when he was substituted on his debut. Quite clear we had unearthed a gem of a player from non-league Wealdstone.

Clearly very talented, went past his opponents like they weren't even there at times. Seems a bit of a show pony though, needs to settle it down a bit, deserved a goal. I think he'll turn out to be a great acquisition. Loved him leading the fist bumps at the end.

He is a young exciting player who will do things outside the norm. I would absolutely encourage him to keep doing it, he will make things happen. The only instruction id give is work as hard as everyone else when we don't have the ball. And from what i have seen he does, he knows his role and puts a shift in.

But to take the impulsive behavior away from him is defeating the reason why we brought him in. Let the kid be and we will see how good he is, he looks like he is enjoying it with us and that's great to see.

I think its easy to see the materials that would have a Prem team interested in the first place. There's a explosiveness that our other players don't really have, as good as many of them are. Hope we have something lined up for the summer with him if we go up.

Looked like he was trying a bit too hard to impress at times.
When he settles in he could be a real top signing

Not a wind up lol

I think both sides are understandable but I find Glasner throwing his toys out the pram to the press a bit unprofessional. He’s outin the summer anyway, now he’s just angling for a payout and some time off before he takes a new job.

Esse plays in the one position they're very strong in. He was only getting onto the bench most of the time before they broke their transfer record for Brennan Johnson for 35m from Spurs a couple of weeks ago.

A new manager might well like what he sees but they're going to rebuild at the end of the season to fit in with a new managers plans and a fee of about 15m would come handy. He hasn't got the experience they need because of his age but the talk is they would be happy to get their money back.

No thanks. So far they've spent about 80m on just 3 players this season signing Johnson, Canvot and Pino and then their manager goes public saying he isn't getting backed.

Can get worse though. Juventus are in for Mateta.
I mean he's got them into europe and he's just spent what hes raised through sales, not really a backing is it.

You need a bigger squad for Europe, not smaller.

If spending £150m across 3 windows is scraps
