10 more wins does it (2 Viewers)

19 games left for us 55pts
19 left for Boro 49pts
20’ left for Ipswich 47pts

Potentially 9 more wins minimum from 19 for us will be enough to give us a total of 82pts.

Boro would need 11 wins from 19
Ipswich 12 wins from 20
I am a Ipswich supporter and just came on to ask how many points you thought you’d get/need. I’ve looked at our fixtures after the game today and think we’ll get at least 88. It’s going to be tight. I think we’ll both go up although that late Boro goal last night had shades of when we went up a couple of years ago and Leeds fans were convinced right until the last 3 or 4 games that the wheels would come off for us.

After Boro we soon play 4 teams on a row with genuine playoff hopes?

For me the fixture list looks tough because it's the championship end of the day.

Cliche but I'll be taking it one game at a time.
I still see all away games as tough. Rarely turn my nose up at an away point.

Your away form aside from the one game your lads chose to turn up for is honking, so February is a big month for all 3.

It is. We were poor for the first few months of the season but we’re looking much better now and squad depth will play a big part. We’ll lose a few between now and the end of the season but I think we’ll get more than 40 points from the last 20 games.

All depends on whether or not you can turn around the away form which has been generally very poor. Flat track bullies at home though.

There was a typo in my earlier message. Should have said 40 (now corrected). Ageed and I think we will improve away. We’re a more settled team now. A lot of changes in the summer.

Ultimately we'll have to wait and see, Ipswich's away form has been poor for quite some time. As for your original question, earlier in the season I'd have put mid 80s as enough for an automatic promotion spot.

Now though...I'm not so sure.

It's a bit, how can I say, time to reinforce/reinstall our approach to the matches, dominance.

Haven't Ipswich got about 4 away games on the bounce including the cup. Wrexham away twice in 7 days is tough. They rise up for the big teams/games.

I didn't celebrate as I was convinced Wright was off...thankfully the lineo had better eyes than me
I did exactly the same.

I glanced over at the linesman as it went in and partially celebrated when I saw him moving back towards the centre circle. It was when the referee put his finger to his ear and had 26 Leicester players around him appealing I thought he was going to rule it out.

Very embarrassing from Leicester considering actually how onside Wright was

A lot can happen in a month but if the situation doesn’t change much by then, it’s a must not lose rather than a must win.

Agree, but I’m beaming with optimism and confidence. Like last season, we’re going to win that game and put a dent in their promotion ambitions.

I think we need 10 wins and a few draws from this point

How many draws? The goal difference as it stands is one point in the bank.

The landscape will keep changing. People trying to get over the line in December or in January are wasting their time. It could easily boil down to the last three or four games.

Strap yourselves in and just enjoy the contest.

I just hope we show some more confidence in ourselves at home. We spent the first half showing too much respect, playing too hesitantly and not playing to our strengths.

Hopefully we can avoid having to go behind before we start showing what we can do.

It’s 5 in February - Portsmouth, Derby, Watford and Wrexham in the league with Wrexham in the cup too. Tough but I think we’ll still be close to the top two at the end of February. Norwich away and then Boro at home in mid-April stand out as the games that will be pivotal.
