Gus offered for £6 million ? (37 Viewers)

Worth taking him if only to stop everyone giving him the reacharound when he inevitably has a great game against us and derails our promotion. There'd still be a queue longer than Bonny Blue's waiting for a micro of jizz to squirt on their never to be washed again cheek.

It will never happen but since we are speculating. If 6mil is the figure and he doesn't break the wage structure, it would be great. Exactly what we need, box to box midfielder.

Who cares what might happen next season, he could be the difference this year.

Imagine being able to sub Torp off then bring on Hamer, or visa versa.

He's not going for 6mil and we're not signing him.

The main problem with this is again it smacks of a lease arrangement and we receive the husk of the player we rented out?

His stomach is bulging out from under his shirt ffs.
That picture is clearly not recent as Rhian Brewster is in the background and he now plays for Derby.

He may be slightly over ideal weight there, but he won championship POTS at that weight.

For a professional footballer, he's not "slightly over ideal weight" in the picture. 😂 😂
From listening to interviews with Lampard, it's clear that he's not the sort of player he'd sign.
It's also probably why no PL club has come in for him since Sheff Utd's relegation.

I know but your argument was look at his belly!

Yet in that condition, which was last season, he ran us ragged in the games he played us and won championship POTS.

More salt than Gus’ diet in here.

If Lampard signs him because he thinks he can offer something then great. But I just don't see him signing someone who doesn't fit in with the kind of culture he's trying to implement.

That was last season. Things change fast in football.

Yeah this season he’s still better than our other options who are apparently super fit but still not as good at football. And you know I pay to watch football not the swimsuit contest.

People saying that was last season and not this season are so odd considering thats what they are holding onto to ascertain that Haji, Rudoni etc will come back to form.

It's nothing to do with what you pay to watch.
In any workplace if you're trying yo implement a certain regime you don't employ someone who is the antithesis of what you're trying to implement.

If Lampard decides he'll fit in and gets him then great, I just don't see it.

I’m not going to pretend Gus isn’t the most entertaining player I’ve seen at the city in 30 odd years so I’m bias. But unless we’ve got someone better lined up £6m on him seems a no brainer. He’s proven in the PL as well.

I really hope we have got someone better lined up but I doubt it for £6m with Austin scouting.

If he had never played before everyone would be excited about signing him.

I very much doubt we could sign someone for £6m whos ready made as Gus for the second half of the year.

The fans that watch him weekly say he looks unfit and they perform better without him in the team. It's not like the hate has come from nowhere, I'm pretty sure they love him there generally.
Get him fit you've got a hell of a player but that might be easier said than done. I'll always support the player if he comes back but I can't see it. If he moves abroad at least we can stop this every window.
