I don't agree with the abuse, I don't agree with the title of this thread.
But his performances have been awful for 3 months.
I genuinely can't get my head around why people seem to think he should be exempt from criticism?

Simms has had similar runs and took plenty of stick. Is Wright a better player than Simms, I'd say so, but surely that makes his current form worse given the ability he has?

I’ve held off commenting until the racist cartoon from the Twitter warrior who bravely posted it with his comments turned off. That, and the abuse, is bang out of order. He has been out of form no doubt and his performances can be critiqued, but we seem to be in hatred/nasty territory now.

I'm not sure Haji starts tbh.

& Let's be Frank , team selection this weekend is probably the most interesting & difficult to consider since ...well, certainly since we played at the CBS.
No I agree and expect he will have a spell on the bench. Which is why he started against Stoke in a largely second string side. And so he should when out of form. It’s all the shit coming from a faction of the fans, the level of vitriol last seen against Stern John. Some of it makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

I had people near me going ‘Haji SHITE SHITE SHITE’ on Saturday. It’s just bizarre behaviour from grown men to be doing that.

However-he has looked more disinterested with each game and has switched agents seemingly in a bid to get out of here. The problem is neither his performances nor goal tallies will have got him any interest from the clubs he wants it from. It needs to come from him.

Yes ellis has never had hyperbolic reactionary threads about him

We cant stop threads discussing players abilities etc .. i feel like this is a bit further than that at this point , ellis has had alot of support from the fanbase mostly even through some extremely barron patches

Hes clearly a fan favourite overall

I think calling him a languid uninterested waste of space is hardly supportive

If you dont think ellis has been largely supported by the fanbase compared to haji through the bad patches then you are purposely ignoring whats going on
In their first season at the club it was quite different. Wright had his name sung every time he missed a decent chance, Simms I remember cupping his ears at the fans after scoring (I want to say away at Plymouth). They have gone through phases of being the pantomime villain at different points.

If Simms now goes on a long barren run and puts in similar performances to what Wright has done, he’ll get the same treatment.

Yes. Surprisingly short memories. I can’t believe people can’t remember it.

Wright at the start was accused of being worthless and we should get him gone for free to save his wages - also a Sunday league player at best

This is it really
They've both had more than one spell where they've been awful, they've both suffered abuse that's crossed the line as a result.

At actual matches the crowd audibly got behind him every time he fluffed a chance-MR even commented on it.
He again is just being completely hypocritical and because he’s in the “Wright” Camp he cannot accept Simms got dogs abuse as well.

Same way he constantly is bugging up Bidwell without mentioning any of Da Silva’s good performances this year
