Oggy was talking yesterday about the through ball from midfield that splits the defence being lacking from our game. That's what Torpy can do and very much what Haji wants playing off the shoulder. That needs vision but if also needs some speed in the build up play that I've not seen much of for weeks. When things are laborious it allows defenders such as Wilmot yesterday (and Ballard in the playoffs) the advantage.

That's why we need Hamer back, Hamer and Grimes both playing in midfield. Wow. 😍

Did you not see his goal against Mansfield, another cracker.

London Goal GIF by Chelsea FC

Thats great - its really going to link the midfield to the attack and supply the necessary work rate to also cover at the back.

That goal has zero to do with any midfield attributes that we need?

Yeah. I’m almost at the point where it would be better for him personally to move on. They’ll look back on his record one day with a different view when we have a genuine donkey up top again.

I don't agree with the abuse, I don't agree with the title of this thread.
But his performances have been awful for 3 months.
I genuinely can't get my head around why people seem to think he should be exempt from criticism?

Simms has had similar runs and took plenty of stick. Is Wright a better player than Simms, I'd say so, but surely that makes his current form worse given the ability he has?

I agree that some of the personal criticisms are out of order, but I can’t see myself looking back and thinking that Hadji was a good player for us.

I can’t recall Simms being mocked for his Afro, being called lazy, saying all he wants is to sit on the beach with his wife, wants to perform badly as he’s not selected for the World Cup so he can do fuck all over the summer etc

The hatred is off the scale. It’s personal and it reflects pretty badly on the fan base.

Where did anyone say he was exempt from criticism? Terrible strawman

Simms got some poor abuse.
I don't agree with it for him or Wright.
Nothing tops what Collins, was on the end of at Portsmouth, was horrendous.

It doesn't reflect well, I agree.

Theres a nastiness to it now really
Losers, trying to make themselves feel better by denigrating someone else. A well documented psychological problem.
Save any observations until the end of the season. See where we are and Haji's output them. That is all that matters.

The most embarrassed I have ever been as a City fan was at Portsmouth and how some turned on Collins. Will be the same lot abusing Wright. Wherever I stand at an away game I always seem to be surrounded by fans hurling abuse at him.

What’s wrong with that post? The fact is despite this drought he still has a good record for us. And he’s scored some great and memorable goals too.

The tone of it is we don't realise how lucky we are to have him.
Well I'm sorry, but we have an exceedingly rare chance to go up via the autos, if we fail, then his lacklustre last 3 months will be a part of it.
Couple that with his play off semi performances and I certainly won't find a lot of comfort in his overall record.

I disagree, Callum O'Hare it's not going to do any of what you've just mentioned but Hamer can produce a killer pass and score goals. 🤔

O hare has scored more goals and created more than Hamer this season

He has also played nearly twice the number of minutes though

Hamer has only scored twice all season in the championship - he’s washed up

Why does that matter? I didnt hear you complaining when he scored 8 in his first 10 games. Does this mean if he now goes on to score another 10 goals this season it wont be his good work it will be the team around him?
Didn’t know I was complaining now !
Just simply pointing out that it is much easier to score goals for a team winning regular, than a team fighting relegation.

His great start to the season is part of why we’re in this position.

The overwhelming view is that he is about to fire us to the Premier League

Of course it is.
But he's now gone 3 months without a goal.
How long can he dine out on his good start?

MVE had a great start but now getting criticism for performances of late, but his drop in form much more understandable though in my book.

I hope he does. But I'm not sure who its the overwhelming view of?

I said on here a few weeks ago he's about to start another scoring streak. Crazy wishful thinking that was
