Fair enough mateIt's FLW and they have spent about 6m on a CB
January is a buyers market, every player has a priceJanuary is not a buyers market. We'll end up with a deadline day panic loan. Doug's lack of proactivity in the summer has ruined us
There was reports of another Championship team bidding higher but that Cov was still his preferred destination. A connection with the scout on here @skybluegod reported itI'm hearing another 'Stamenic' incident has happened......![]()
My guess is Sheff United they are desperate for wingersIt isn't Stoke that have come in for him with big money. But they have been mentioned on here

Who is it then? Can only be a parachute team or one of the Yankee soccerrrrr clubsIt isn't Stoke that have come in for him with big money. But they have been mentioned on here
To be fair, we poached the Swansea captain in JanuaryJanuary is not a buyers market. We'll end up with a deadline day panic loan. Doug's lack of proactivity in the summer has ruined us
Human bread stickA club with ambition, meanwhile we’re standing still
It was always going to be Blues or Wrexham both of whom will throw silly money if they want toIts Blues
Just frustrating we can't challenge themIt was always going to be Blues or Wrexham both of whom will throw silly money if they want to
He's based in the UK his agent isNot doubting it but how does @skybluegod know the agent of a Gambian playing in Sweden
Same. He will go to a more ambitious team than us though.Sarmiento linked with Boro now too, would love him here
Anybody else heard anything about Villa eyeing Rushworth for a summer move?
I dont really get the notion that its ok as the window is open for 30 days.
We need players in before Leicester latest.
What will happen is the same as the summer, we will get closer to the deadline and be saying "i think we will get 1 in before the deadline" and then when we do we will make out it was a successful window.
So hes decided to have howlers during the transfer window to put them off. Fair play for his commitment to usEvery Premier League Club will have Rushworth on their radar.
Exactly the same happened in the summer, except there was the added line "well be more grateful he bought the stadium"And the same people will say ‘stop the bed wetting, we will obviously sign a couple in the next few days’ for the next 4 weeks until deadline day rolls around
They won’t sell him till the summerMiddlesbro owner is trying to bring in a few 'stars' because he intends selling Hackney, so it possbly isn't that great.
IT'S A FEW DAYS IN - calm the fuck down bedwetters geez
Can appreciate the need for patience, but I would argue that with we knew when the window closed where we were short and what needed depth. To have not had something ready to go, see Birmingham as an example.
Without context it’s very hard to judge but on the face of it disappointing.

If we don't go up this year I think Lampard walks to be honest.Sorry, but it’s not bed wetting is it really?
As I mentioned earlier in the thread the club has had time to proactively prepare for the moment the window opened. Deals can still be agreed outside the transfer window and if they had targets then I’d be keen to understand why couldn’t secure them ready for Jan 1st.
Lampard knows, and has mentioned several times since the beginning of the season, that we have small squad and injuries take its toll, so then surely the club knows what the manager needs, prepare and get it ready for when the window opens and help out the team(?).
To me what it looks like is a mixture of one or two things, either a reluctance to spend money and wait on the availability of loan players from Premier League sides (likely) or players that they are trying to secure are looking at different moves, but without understanding which players the clubs looking at, and with how the leeks have tightened up we won’t know the answer to this.
My fear if Lampard is not backed this window with players quickly and with the quality he needs, is that this will impact on him staying at the club longer term as he will lose trust in King to back him when the chips are down.
