Been playing with illness and had some bloody tough away fixtures at the same time. It’s not rocket science
That’s a good point, as a general point team with more home games in a period will get more points than teams with a schedule with more away games.

This accounts for Ipswich’s charge up the table because their last away win was v Hull. They’ve also picked up 2 points from 3 away games.

It's always a tough period of the season as well.

Had a look at how the 3 promoted teams did last December.
Sunderland got 11 points and Burnley got 12, and between them they only won 1 game by more than 1 clear goal.

Win today and we're on 11.

Leeds smashed everyone, had a great month!

None of those teams had players leaving the pitch to empty their stomachs either!

Ipswich have turned up incredibly early. Police stopping all traffic around the ground 20 mins ago. Didn't see the team bus though.

Mmmmm
I mean everyone can see we’re having to work harder for our wins than before but is that luck?
Quite a bit of jealousy there
The goals have dried up from Wright and Simms, also Torp has stopped scoring and theres no goals from BTA recently with his absence.
Bobby Thomas has scored fewer than expected (prior to his illness) and neither FB has contributed. And Rudoni has been exceptionally poor goal wise by his standards.

We look a totally different side without BTA.
We are still getting results, but we arnt the free flowing side that scored 7 against QPR and 5 against Derby.

BTA's pace and movement causes problems and creates space for others to express themselves. I was thinking that Rudoni's return would help us, but that's not been the case.

Buzzing for tonight, has the feel of a massive game. I think if we start as with did against Bristol and get an early goal we could put 3 or 4 past these, especially if rumours of a bug in their camp it true. Rudi to silence the critics and show why he is one of the best in the division & Haji to end his dry spell.

Hope they have a few out and that we are over the worst of it. About time we had a bit of luck against the tractor shaggers

Believe it when I see the squad.
Also, they have so much depth anyway!
Ipswich fans have been moaning about certain players being picked Mcateer being one. (So hope he is fit!)
Hope McKenna doesn't chance upon a team that clicks due to this illness!! (They certainly have a squad cable of this!!)
I'm not sure their squad is as good as many thought at the start of the season. Along with other pre-season favourites that were lauded for deep squads, Birmingham and Southampton, a lot of their fringe players really aren't that good. Ipswich would miss some of their key players just as any other team would.

Jack Clarke being able to step in for Philogene ain’t bad tbf

Imagine being able to rotate Philogene and Jack Clarke though, should be doing much better
