Ipswich away from home have been vulnerable and having lost to them a few weeks ago and with a full house I think we will be right up for this. I wouldn't change formation at home I'd go for them , as I said there away form has been shite; even Leicester beat them easily 🤣🤣

Referees would appear to love them! I have never known a football club get so many decisions in their favour. Even in the Millwall match the Millwall goal could have gone either way for off side and we know which way it went. Hirst should have been sent off against us and poor Blackburn 1 nil up with 10 minutes to go against 10 men and the match was replayed. In the replay Matisiwa remained on the pitch for a last man foul with the Blackburn player clear on goal. Blackburn by all accounts were denied a clear penalty and they got a jammy last minute equaliser which they did not deserve.
As previous posters have said they used to carry the goodwill of many neutrals in their games , but not anymore.
Opening game of the season away at Blues they were given a lifeline with a very soft free kick ruling out a Kyogo gaol and a last gasp, very soft penalty to give them an equaliser.

Would FL give Callum Perry a start at LB got to see what this lad is about sooner or later. Could be a nice surprise if he gets a chance.

For potentially one of our biggest games of the season? That’s about as likely as Lampard starting with 4-4-2 that someone suggested earlier.

There’s an outside chance Perry might get some game time against Stoke but doubt whether he will start that either.

Would say usually I'd take a point but with 2 away games to follow and Ipswich having 2 nice fixtures after they play us I think a win is crucial

ManU, especially under Ferguson. And against us in the VAR room.

Got told he Just had a loan move delayed so Frank must have him in mind… although this would be too much surely.

I'm not convinced Wright works with EMC, Rudoni and Saka. We'd be better off with an aggressive goal hanging box striker. That's nearer Simms but sadly he isn't quite it either.
One to sort out in the Summer
Wright scored most of his goals this season playing alongside all of those

Even if that scenario played out and we got just a point they would still need to win the other 2 games to get within 7 points. Genuinely don't see the problem even if we were not to win.

Surprised at the amount of anti Ipswich feeling on here. Pretty inoffensive club really (in fact as an older fan I really respect them for the way they challenged Liverpool in the early 1980s and were one of the first teams to bring in very good players from Europe).

Obvs hope we beat them tonight, but I would not be put out at all if they were promoted alongside us...

Never had an issue with them but some of the arrogance from them is changing that.

I mean everyone can see we’re having to work harder for our wins than before but is that luck?
Quite a bit of jealousy there
It’s more copium from opposition fans imo. PNE, Bristol and Swansea we should have scored 2 goals as a minimum. Southampton Haji Wright goes though on goal and does shot off and v Ipswich we hit the post at 0-0.

We’ve had games v Watford and Blackburn where the opposition didn’t take their chances and we blitzed them with 2-3 goals to win the tie.

We do need reinforcements in Jan though because the squad is putting in a heroic shift with injuries/illness/suspensions atm.
