I don't think so. Their last chance to get a bit of cash for him though.I’d love Mehmeti, we’re not known to be in for him though are we?

Sheff U player of the year in the PL. Voted best player in the Championship last season. Destroyed us in both games last season. This year has been disrupted by bad management and injury. If you think Hamer has had a better season than Torp it might be time to put the stats sheet down. Torp is a monster player for us under Lampard. Hamer on the other hand, even Blunts fans would tell you he's been poor.
Jimmy said yesterday we’re after a championship winger, someone suggested him as his contract is up in the summer.I’d love Mehmeti, we’re not known to be in for him though are we?

Not Torp Share the load with Grimes. Then who drops out at CM? Torp presumably? I just don’t see the point.
He’d be a mint signingJimmy said yesterday we’re after a championship winger, someone suggested him as his contract is up in the summer.
I cba to argue about Hamer anymore. I liked him when he was here but he's gone. He moved to a set of wankers, he's in the pomp of his career and he's at the bottom of the Championship, his career highlight was playing in one of the worst Prem sides ever and he seemingly is of little interest to teams higher up the ladder.Sheff U player of the year in the PL. Allen has started three games this season. We simply don’t have the need for an expensive replacement who’s only really adding value that infrequently. In cases where we have three games in a week, being able to play someone nearer to Torp's ability as opposed to Jamie Allen's would be a clear advantage. The games where it's been just Grimes and Allen in the middle have been real hard work because it's just not Allen's game and especially not from the start.
Likewise I wouldn't be signing a winger with a view to dropping Sakamoto or EMC.
Fatawu from Lesta...Jimmy said yesterday we’re after a championship winger, someone suggested him as his contract is up in the summer.
I think we'll see from now until January how frivolous another quality option in central midfield would or would not be.Allen has started three games this season. We simply don’t have the need for an expensive replacement who’s only really adding value that infrequently.
Bringing Monga home.Fatawu from Lesta...
Transfer window opens, sign Fatawu, few weeks later he's giving the shush to Inbred Corner. Crowd goes wild, chinos soiled.Bringing Monga home.
Don't think we can afford his transfer fee or wages.Question for you all, would you have Hamer back in January?
I am struggling to think of many Championship wingers we'd be interested in.Transfer window opens, sign Fatawu, few weeks later he's giving the shush to Inbred Corner. Crowd goes wild, chinos soiled.
Wonder what they’d accept with 6 months leftThink Mehmeti is a good shout if we can do it. Still quite young, six months left on his deal, potential to make it higher.
He’s definitely one of them, but you’re looking at £20 million plus.I am struggling to think of many Championship wingers we'd be interested in.
Exactly. Not happening. So narrow it down to realistic ones and I'm really struggling. He’s definitely one of them, but you’re looking at £20 million plus.
I genuinely think it has to be MehmetiExactly. Not happening. So narrow it down to realistic ones and I'm really struggling.
Ya this. You can love torp and want hamer back tooI actually would despite the above. The Torp disrespect on this forum is wild though.
Everything I have read on here seems to have the assumption we have a magic money tree. The reason Hamer, O'Hare and McCallum are at a parachute club is because we could not afford their wage demands and signing on fees. Two were free transfers.I think it’s really hard to get PL quality at this point TBH. Out of interest how many of last seasons promotion January signings are starting regularly?
Would you describe him as a winger?I genuinely think it has to be Mehmeti
Inside forward probablyWould you describe him as a winger?
Was thinking about this before. Our position in the table makes it very difficult to structure deals for anyone I think. Even the Gambian lad. If he waited till the summer we could probably offer four times the salary if necessary. There would probably need to be clauses with hefty wage increases if we get promoted.Perhaps we do have £10 million to spend according to Hull, but we still have a very tight wage limit and Doug will not break it, as it would upset our existing players. That is why I think we will sign players from lower wage clubs in the UK, take subsidised loans or buy from abroad.
Well I didn't start it. If posters make a claim that is disputable, then people will go for it. It is only opinions, often backed by facts, but it does not mean anyone is right. We all come on here for our two penny worth. Probably in my case, a little more than that.I cba to argue about Hamer anymore. I liked him when he was here but he's gone. I'd rather concentrate on our players, I think there's a handful with better careers ahead than old Gus. Rudi and MvE for sure and I think a couple of others might surprise, Torp being one.
Good shoutJosh Murphy at Pompey ?
I do love taking other Championship teams best players. Not something we are used to doing. Swansea fans' heads completely fell off when Grimes came here.Brizzle fans seem fairly resigned to him going
They're in a similar place to where we were with O'Hare, clearly not going to renew so do you cash in on him in January or use him to get into the top 6. Either way if we are seriously interested he'll cause a massive fuss at Bristol if they don't let him go.I do love taking other Championship teams best players. Not something we are used to doing.
