Maybe not the right thread for it.

But UHCW 3rd worst in the country

In my experience the front line staff are largely excellent. The biggest issue with frontline staff is the number of agency workers so getting any continuity of care is difficult.

But the management is horrifically bad.

Not helped by the fact the management structure keeps being changed as we move to and from ICBs depending which way the wind is blowing.

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to bring him back into the fold. Starmer should have seen the red flags a mile off, everybody else could.
Mandelson has been described as having a "significant influence" on the office of current Labour Party Leader and Prime Minister Keir Starmer as a "core part" of his political network

Yes I have had very good experiences there with nurses and in particular the midwives who are all unbelievable.

My wife is a hospital worker.
There are now many nurses who have left the NHS and joined a medical agency.
Then, due to nurse shortages, the agency sends them to the same ward on twice the salary.
The whole system just pours money out of our pockets.

Badenoch says Mandelson was close friends with Epstein at the time that Epstein was involved in child sex trafficking. Was Starmer aware of this when he appointed Mandelson?

Starmer says due process was followed. He says Mandelson has” repeatedly expressed his deep regret, he is right to do so, [and] he’s now playing an important part in the US UK relationship”.

UPDATE: Badenoch said:

This is interesting, he says the ambassador has expressed full regret, but the victims of the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein have called for Lord Mandelson to be sacked.

And just so the house is aware, in 2019 Jeffrey Epstein was convicted of child prostitution and sex trafficking that took place between 2002 and 2005 that is the precise period which Lord Mandelson called Jeffrey Epstein his best pal.

Was the prime minister aware of this intimate relationship when he appointed Lord Mandelson to be our ambassador in Washington?

And Starmer replied:

As she and the house would expect, full due process was followed during this appointment, as it is with all ambassadors. The ambassador has repeatedly expressed his deep regret, he is right to do so, he’s now playing an important part in the US-UK relationship.

I wonder how much of a 'resettlement' package Mandelson will be entitled to now he is loosing his post?
He was sacked at least twice from the Cabinet and, as I understand it, each time got paid a significant sum.
Grifting at it's fucking best.

If only the media wasn’t in bed with the reform wreckers

They should be forensic in calling this charlatan out he bought the house and put it in her name beyond doubt. There’s no way she had £850k under the bed. Why say she bought it if it’s not true

He’s a liar and a cheat but it’s ok he’s not broken any law ffs

I don't see any way Reform don't get in unless Farage pulls it all to pieces before then, which is possible. You really think anyone is going to go out and vote in numbers for the jokers we've got in now or the fucking Tories? Not a chance in hell, you can absolutely tell people are done with them.

Also i don't think Farage would do anything too radical even if he did get in, don't think he's got the stomach for it. The party will just be full of Tories from the right of the party by then.

I think Farage is destined for number 10 one day but I think it’s much more likely to be as a Tory PM than a Reform one.

I've always thought he'd fold his party and lead up the Tories but i'm not sure anymore. It's still possible.

I'd prefer not to find out tbh.
I'd prefer it to Labour propped up by Zack Polanski and Humza Yousaf (edit: just realised its not him now but still, SNP... yuck) personally but each to their own. I know we won't agree there. I'm not big on Reform and didn't vote for them last time out but i don't see any way a right wing party doesn't get in and the Tories as they are now are finished. As SBT said, he could just as easily fold Reform and go Tory in that time though, i think that party would romp it.

Farage isn’t an idiot and probably knows Reform isn’t suited to government. He’d jump at the opportunity to lead the Tories into the next election.

My question mark over that is if he genuinely even wants the responsibility of being PM. That bit i'm not sure on.
