King or Bling (1 Viewer)

boddy wasn’t the money guy however he was the one who initiated the connection of the club with the fans

he done many things which started our relationship back with the club and team

boddy might have had his flaws but he is one of the reasons why king could invest in the club

robins generated millions for this club along with adi with his coaching and getting us from L2 to the championship

if that wasn’t in place, king wouldn’t be in the position to improve the facilities etc.

like it or not, robins, adi and boddy are the reason the club where it is now

I agree it’s important to recognise the contribution Robins, Adi and Boddy made to the club. Of course none are perfect or else they’d all still be at the club.

King is not perfect but it is undoubted he has done more good than bad and has transformed the club off the pitch and allowed the club to reinvest funds on the pitch. Who do you think is covering the losses each season?

Your anti-King sentiment is very very weird. Maybe you’d prefer SISU back who are up there with Chansiri and Morecambe owners as some of the worst to grace the football league.

Well Doug King gave us the one thing fans craved for more than 10 years. No game was complete without fans singing We want SISU out, sometimes non stop.Fans going to there head office, letters to MPs , constant court cases, marches to Broadgate, ribbons all over the City. Radio phone ins when fans spent hours analysing court and legal matters and not even talking about the one thing we all became fans of, ie the football team. For that one thing alone he deserves our eternal thanks. I think a lot of fans have forgotten those really dark years when there seemed to be really no hope for the future.

Bling or King, he has a big 3 weeks ahead of him

He needs to channel his inner Harry Redknapp and do some serious wheeler dealing.

Should be looking to move on
Bidwell
Allen
Simms/BTA
Wilson/Collins

Allen is a fine Squad player and will be needed as Sheaf gets injured every month

He's really not. The difference in ability between him and Andrews is marginal and we'd be better off getting rid and someone else in.

We are crying out for a mobile mid who can play a defensive splitting forward pass . Allen isn't that.
Oh in addition to a proper forward who can not only control a football but also put it in the net .

It really is fine margins guys.

most weeks Rudi takes one of his 3 chances. MVE hit the post, Saka just wide after 2 mins. ….

We could have easily won 2-0 and no one would be moaning ….

Still don't think that it would mask the inadequacies of our forward options

Should be more respect for our chairman.
All this “bling” nonsense.
Doug King has done more to move our club forwards than anyone in the last 12 years or more.

Definitely the case now.

king won the lottery when he took over

he came in and within 6 months had a team at Wembley and joined on an upward curve

During that summer got over 30mill in player sales

yes we are in a much better place off the pitch with the investment but that’s down to Robins and co who built the foundations in which made it possible to recoup 30 mill to invest

we haven’t made the next level with him yet and that’s what he will be judged on

let’s hope this season is ours

From a business point of view securing the ground for the club makes us a much more appealing proposition for external investment whether we are in the Prem or not. With all the foreign money flooding into the football league, this announcement has got to make an appealing club to invest it
