Again, nobody is asking for 25 first choice players, just better quality squad players.
This is hair splitting, you are looking to spend money on players a fraction better than our current squad players but not good enough to get past the current first choices. A waste of time, effort and money assuming you can find the players you want. BTA was bought as a squad player - so there is the benchmark

Again, no I'm not. Totally missing the point. Although I am not surprised.

In relative terms for them he did, given they did little else, yes he did.

And yes his end product was next to nothing, like a lot of his time here.

I was merely making the point, we lack a 10 as another option currently - that is clear as day.

Just got no je ne sais quoi in midfield without Rudi.

We dont need a better striker than Haji to play CF.
We need to consistently play him in the position he wants to play, and have a stronger back up / different option to come off the bench or when he needs resting / is suspended / is injured.
He is our record signing for a reason, not to mention HE IS A FUCKING CF.

The obsession with Haji on the left is fucking mind boggling and it all spans from people seeing him on the ball more in a game and thinking its “effective”
We need him in the box finishing chances, not creating them for someone else.

Stop square pegging players we do have to create round holes for players we dont have.

That’s fine, you think Haji is better through the centre and he is good in that position, can’t argue with his goal output there but my point is not about Haji per se, it’s about how our attack can improve as a whole.

Keeping Haji in the middle means we have to play EMC basically every game, meaning there’s no depth in case of injuries and no competition to keep players motivated. It also means there’s no space to bring in a quality striker and crucially if Haji gets injured we’re forced to play either Asante or Simms every week. We alternatively could bring in a new left winger but I think playing Haji there and rotating with EMC just makes more sense as we know they’re quality in that position.

I think Haji playing LW is the least square-shaped peg in the team, he’s literally already proved he can do it multiple times. What would be strange is refusing to buy new players and have zero depth on the left wing and then having to play Asante when it goes tits up 🤷🏻‍♂️

(Only works on the proviso that we buy a decent striker though, otherwise yeah I agree Haji should play through the middle as he’s obvs better than Simms/Asante.)

This window Its getting beyond frustrating, either we are not flexible on certain players we should be moving on. Or FL thinks Allen, Bidwell, Collins and Norm are worth hanging around. And i hear its hard to move players on, but surely Doug and FL know what all see.

Seriously am confused by this window as i cant see us having the time to make the moves to see improvements needed. Lets hope next 2 weeks we see outs and a quality ins.
