I'll add salad/lettuce to that. I live by myself and on the odd occasion I make burgers or something I have to buy a full sized bag and inevitably throw most of it away. Have just stopped bothering now.
Living on your own and trying to actually cook for yourself and be a bit healthy is a bit of a nightmare. Even if you batch cook and freeze loads you seem to always end up with a fair amount of waste.

And you always end up repeating meals way more than you'd really like to.

Did try those home delivery things like Hello Fresh which are OK but just seem expensive for what you get and not really designed for single people either.

Steady on there, someone will be marketing that, under the guise of shinkflation, along with time sensitive shopping, I mean why not they can charge what they want.
We're a commodity after all!

I've generally managed to nail it in terms of eating healthily with minimal waste but yeah, it involves eating a variation of the same 3/4 things on repeat all week and cooking enough in the evening to have for lunch the next day as well. Luckily food is mostly just a functional thing for me, if I was a "foodie" I'd go insane.

I found the same with HF/Gousto, tasty but expensive and a lot more plastic waste than if I just cook myself. It was useful to get some cooking tips/techniques though.

Royal fucking Mail. Booked a collection so I could return something, just had an email saying they tried to collect it but the parcel "wasn't available when we called".

I'm WFH and no-one has rung the buzzer and I haven't even seen anyone from RM go past (I'm in a street-facing ground floor flat and a nosey fucker). Unless they expected me to leave it in the street it's utter horseshit.

Collecting travel money from Tesco. Email states it will be ready to collect from 3pm.
Get to the counter at 2.55pm and there are 5 people in the queue all been told to collect from 3pm.
Sign on counter says, on break back at 3.20pm.
The guy trundles up at 3.25pm

People that stare at you and saunter while they're crossing the road. Muppets
Had a bloke in coundon do that to me the other day crossing the road with his Mrs - staring at me like it was my fault I had to swerve onto other side of road to miss them. Use a fucking crossing or make an effort to get over quickly.

another driving one. when was it suddenly decided that at mini roundabouts cars coming from your left have priority?

I assume its changed because multiple times last week I had people giving me absue when they pulled out and nearly crashed into me.

the highway code did change a short while ago, so that a pedestrian has right of way if turning into a road (which nobody follows)

Oh yes I know that and I follow it (fair enough may not have a couple of times), but it didn’t change the rules about pedestrians suddenly having right of way if they cross over a road and having to stop. That is only afforded to them on designated crossings.

had someone just walk out in front of me near Wembley yesterday on his phone - not a care in the world. Same happened day before in Cov.

There's some strange habits creeping into society, like actually walking up the middle of the road, glued to a screen is part of it.
