Not sure if its been mentioned but I couldn't see it. Seen one of those articles fishing, linking a player with 18 different clubs. An agents way of announcing a player is free and ready to sign type things. But the article (most likely written by ChatGPT) states that Derby, Oxford and Coventry are interested in CH Patrick Bauer after his contract at PNE has ended.
Like I say, most likely nothing to see here, but we do need some better cover at CH than Lati and Binks. 32 so plenty of experience.

The most boring take in the footballing world.

WHY DOESNT FRANK USE HIS CHELSEA CONNECTIONS
That's quite a strong reaction to what I thought was a fairly straightforward observation! I wasn't suggesting anything groundbreaking - just that having someone with existing relationships at a club can sometimes open doors for loan deals. It happens all the time in football. But fair enough if you think it's boring - we clearly see it differently.

It’s also a little simplistic.

There are no material ties between the current Chelsea manager or Frank, nor the current Chelsea Director or Football and Frank. Some of the youth players were not even living in this country when he was playing at Chelsea.

It’s a business deal and sentiment won’t play a part. It may have been different had Roman still owned the club, but he doesn’t.

I my view Frank's legendary status at Chelsea carries weight regardless of who's currently in charge. 211 goals and three Premier League titles don't just disappear because there's new ownership. That kind of institutional respect still matters in football, even if it's not some dramatic inside connection.

That is a romantic view I’m afraid ….

When it was rumoured that we were about to appoint Lampard there was a comment from a Chelsea fan, I think on Benjamin Bloom's YouTube channel, to not expect favours as Boehly has gone out of his way to break links with anyone seen as being close to Abramovic. And in his view this would include Lampard.

The best thing is there is no news - as we know to our peril that a leak generally finds our target at another team !

Boehly brought him in as caretaker at a difficult time... I'm not saying he'll have the pick of the parade, but I'm sure there is goodwill there.

I think Boehly had Lampard on his yacht after sacking him as well. But the personal and the corporate Boehly are probably very different. He has been ruthless with some long serving staff that he saw as Abramovic's people.
I don't think Boehly would block a loan, but I also don't think he'd intervene on Frank's behalf to send a player here.
