Surely the best case is he comes back, is a monster, and Brighton recall their man in Jan because he’s not getting a game?
That's the best case for Dovin's long term development and future with us from his personal point of view

The best case for the club is we are flying in the league, which would likely mean Dovin can't get back into a winning team and spends the second half of the season as back up, which is what SBT was alluding to I think. If that scenario happens then it may raise questions about Dovin future with the club.

Why? Come the end of the season his only competition would be gone. If we go up then he’d probably have been replaced anyway.

If we stay down Dovin becomes our number 1 again next season, if we go up we can afford to do with him what Brighton are doing with Rushworth I suppose and seeing if he can develop into a Premier League number 1.
That's all there is to it really.
As for this season, once he's fit he'll have to fight Rushworth for the shirt.

Why would we spend over and above. Do you want us in debt and spiralling back down the leagues again?
We are in debt to the owner as is. You were probably one of these fans saying we shouldnt sign a keeper in case we go bust because of it and should just be happy with Wilson starting.

100% he’d probably rather have us playing Collins or Wilson instead of spending a bit of money on the loan fee for rushworth

I would rather have a football club to watch first off. I really dont see the issue with signing a keeper on loan. You would rather spunk millions on players, with no guarantee of success, and go bust but say 'ah well at least we tried'

No id rather sign a loan keeper than spunk the millions you are obsessed with us spending. We could sign Isak and you would still cry we didnt spend another 200 million.

We have spent a bit already. Grimes and KKH alone with no sales in between. I just prefer not to go into huge debt when clearly you couldnt give 2 shits.

Nope

But its looking like someone's put some dollar in isnt it..
Said this at the time and had unqualified people argue with me that it was 100% DK investment.

It is unlikely a sole shareholder would issue a whole new class of shares as a way on injecting capital into a business.

We’ll know for sure when the confirmation statement is filed later on in the year.

It doesn’t surprise me at all. With every ACL, we always hear how they are ahead of schedule…not sure why because all it does is wind people up when they are not back at the supposed return date. It will take a long time for him to recover, mentally and physically and it’s such an important positions where as we know…you cannot hide.

I would be very surprised if Dovin plays next year. It was only April he did his injury. Making a move for a highly rated keeper ready to go in this division makes sense if we want to progress this season.

Rodri made it back before the end of the season last year - so it’s doable. Depends on seriousness and how they heal I suppose?
