Two of those are kids.

So of first team signings we’ve got two backups who are OK and three first teamers who did well. Again, not ridiculous by any measure.

We also spent about £5 million combined on BTA and Bassette which seems like questionable business (but could also shake out as OK)

The Vik sale, if it happens, gets the club about £4 million. Yet it hasn’t actually happened yet and we also spent a similar sum on Grimes and KKH each.

We also didn’t sell anyone for big money last year, which tells me that King must be topping up the funds himself, unless our commercial income has suddenly spiked.

I don't believe his source knows financial details either, never have. It would make sense as a piece of guesswork though, it's why I don't understand anyone wanting to keep around 2 of the best RBs in the division. It's a complete waste for us and we'd be better off with the MvE money imo.

I think the club were just being proactive. Seems Villa wanted rid of as many players as possible to leave before the PSR deadline so we made a move.

DK has previously said he'll certainly strike a deal if it's right for the club. But I'd imagine there's a finite limit to that statement.

MVE will still go though in this window I think. Him moving to a new agency is probably a sign of that.

I think MR could definitely be persuaded to return for BTA. If we break even on Simms I’d be surprised.

My only slight concern is lack of options in the wings, Lampard likes to play with wingers and if we get any injury’s we’ve not really got any options.
