I think they need to make up their mind about what ball boys can and can't do. This whole "they can only get it and put it back on the cone" is nonsense when you watch games and they are clearly throwing it to players or sat there looking at it depending on what the score is.

Ours just sit there and watch.
Yep

A good ref. for me is one I haven't even noticed (when talking about the game don't mention him)and i certainly noticed him.The boot incident before half time nearer 3 minutes than 1. He jestered he was adding it on and no way did he.I thought his decision making in general fell short. One good point he left player who try to rule refs. by lying down claiming a foul sitting there.
The linesman if he was good hate to see a bad one.
This is the biggest myth when it comes to officials in regards to the every day football fan. The referee is measured on how he deals with the key decisions and incidents that occur during the match.

And overall confidence and assertiveness

As I am someone prone to criticise referees, I thought I had to say, the guy who refereed today was decent.

Think he was very lenient on the one from McNally, but other than that, he was decent.
I must admit I didn't notice him which is a good thing!

When are referees going to start giving penalties for all the pushing and pulling at corners? Just watching Chelsea v Wolves & at a Wolves corner Cucerella, Tosin, Caicedo & Sanchez all pushed or pulled a Wolves player out of the way as the ball was played in. Unfortunately they left Docherty free to score.

Tosin was upset he didn't get the foul, madness

On shirt pulling that goes on a lot, perhaps they should do like the "Hutch"did, take their shirt and present it to them, sort of if your pulling it you must want it badly here you are.
Then again now adays if you take it off you get the same discipline as hauling and opponent down so better not.

Definite foul on the defender he’s blocked off

Nah he’s not even looking at him the defender has just ran into the back of him, not sure what else he should be doing tbh.

Player are blocking other players off all the time and nothing happens. The times i've seen player shield the player clearing the ball by deliberatly stopping the attacker getting to him.
The players who give their opposite player a bear hug at corner and get away with it amazes me.
I'm of the older generation when skill was Stanley Bowles arms down by his side ,no grabbing of shirts, or pushing player over.

Then you also would have watched Big Don’s Dirty Leeds

It is he’s moved across and blocked the run
I’d have given it
I assume it was disallowed for the accidental handball by the other Sunderland player as the defender went to clear it. They basically disallowed it by VAR without having VAR 😬

I thought the ref last night was very generous to us. Blackburn fans around me were going mad. I think we did as fair bit of pulling back which on another day would have resulted in yellows. He also didn’t seem to bother in hurrying Dovin at all. So all good for us, but can see why they were annoyed.

Cantwell didn’t help them diving and playing for free kicks all the time
They did their own too

Zero control over the game today.

Their 38 I think it was should have been sent off.

Agreed. Lost control in the second.

Thought he did well for a first game
Watford had zero control he had to deal with that
Lad had a red today for player pushing someone three times then calling him a faggot 😱

Course you did.

He had no control of the game. If he had dealt with things they wouldn't have kept doing it.

I think the refs the last 3 games have been decent, all tried to let the game flow. Funny today with the Watford player on the floor by the touchline but he let us play on and attack. He got up after a couple of minutes and sprinted back

It's basics today, why would he stop it? Wasn't a head injury
