Will seem like a rash thread after the loss, but is there anybody who thinks we won’t be in a relegation battle? Our run-in in March and April is seriously tough. If we don't start picking up results, King may well get his worse nightmare.

I think there's an awful lot of people who don't think we will be in a relegation battle.

We won't.

If we don't end up in a battle, it's because there are a high number of very poor teams in the league, not because we are too good to go down.

Without Wright, especially, we are desperately poor.

I don't think so, not because we're good but because 3 of the 4 at the bottom are horrendous. If one of them picks up we're in trouble.

Because there are number of teams who are worse than us and Lampard has apparently been told he has money to spend.

And thirdly, Wright and EMC should be back very soon.

We'll be fine.
I’m not convinced that spending money (if it is there) will automatically solve the problem. Spending in January is always risky and loses a sober approach to the transfer market. We might be fine, but I think it ‘a going to be close hence a battle.

No. It's madness even thinking it.

Money to spend on transfer fees?

or money to spend on new players wages……

Look at our squad, it's a relegation quality side.
Binks, Lati, Thomas, Kitching conceed you 2 goals a game.

Eccles, Torp, Rudoni is like watching the blind long jump Olympics, a car crash of ability.

Dasilva, Collins, Asante are league 1 footballers

This group are all league 1 players, no1 wants Eccles or Torp in this division.
Rudoni is the best of a bad bunch.

We have a really poor core group, Dovin, Bidwell, Sheaf, MVE, Mason-Clarke and Wright, Sakamoto are all good players.
Bu that's only 7 players, you need 15 more players that are also competent.

We don't Have that luxury, our depth is league 1 quality.

Tell you what, if Lampard keeps starting Asante and doug doesn’t back him then we’ll be dragged right into it

I think we will all be happy that there is 3 worse teams than us this season! Next season needs some serious recruitment or we could well be 1 of them worse 3 teams

And I wouldn’t trust these players to get us out of it

Plymouth and Hull are two, we scraped to two draws against Cardiff so I'm not convinced they're a third. There's a lot of arrogance on here assuming we won't be in trouble, look at the remaining fixtures and find 7 wins. It's not that straightforward with these players.

There’s also a difference between relegation and a battle. I just don’t understand how people do not think we’re in the latter.

The usual suspects will say we're far too good to even be in a battle. I just don't see the evidence on the pitch for that, this team is so brittle and losing doesn't even seem to bother them despite chucking 3 points away in a few minutes.

They actually find it funny to be losing games like this. It's so hard to like any of them.

There is an awful lot of shite in this division. We're shite, but not Plymouth/Hull/Derby/Cardiff shite. Not to mention Oxford, who I think will fade badly, and Pompey (the game against us notwithstanding)

As a seasoned, third generation City fan, every season is a relegation battle.

That’s exactly the sort of loser attitude we need to get away from

Agreed. All things considered, we’re going to be easily dragged into it with our frailties. Unless there is a miraculous change in these players.
