In the interest of debate, whilst of course recognising J.H's achievements, i'm going for snoz, the only major trophy winner in our history, and also the man who put an end to that monty python joke ;)

Jimmy Hill from a legend perspective, the man revolutionised football. Dion was also a legend on the pitch in recent times.

Did know Coventry is mentioned over 8 times in different python sketches.Eric Idle was a wolves fan and hated us.
Have you seen Coventry couple in the Hilter not Hitler Sketch.

Hi lads,

Big fan of your forums - congratulations to all involved.

My name is Robert Gorman and I am the deputy editor of
www.NononsenseFootball.com

Your club's section on our website requires its Ultimate Legend!

We are asking all posters on these forums to vote for your club's
Ultimate Legend. The vote will occur right here over the next seven
days when we will collate the findings and add the name of your
official ultimate club legend to our website.

All the contributors to these forums have to do is post the name of
the person they feel is the club's biggest legend in its entire
history in this thread.

The ultimate legend will be a player or manager who has represented
the club at any stage throughout its existence.

I am very grateful for your cooperation to this project as we search
for your club icon that will be listed forever on our new website on
your club's homepage.

Please enter the name of the person you feel deserves the title as
your club's "Ultimate Legend" below.

Many thanks,

Robert

Would have liked a category of legend manager Jimmy Hill AND legend player Tommy Hutchison - both deserve CCFC's highest accolade in different roles

Its hard to look past Jimmy Hill but from a players perspective I'd say Ian Wallace who was my first footballing hero as a kid.

Has to be Jimmy Hill, even if he did come up with the "excellent" idea of all-seated stadiums, gave more to this club than anyone else. Can't believe Dublin has been mentioned and people are actually being serious, somebody who refuses to play for the club who employees him should never be seen as a "legend" in my eyes.

Besy striker the club has ever had. Legend - absolutely. 'ultimate' legend - of course not.

Jimmy Hill did more for our club than any other individual but our best player has been Tommy Hutchison. Would have liked a manager and player category.

I cant talk about pre Jimmy hill era

60s - early 70s jimmy hill
70s - tommy hutch
80s - George/john and the whole 87 squad
90s - Dion Oggy
00s - today The supporters

interesting though if you took a poll in the early 80s Jimmy hill would have been a long way from the top - there were some pretty nasty songs from our own supporters around that time - re Wallace/hutch/ryton/diplomats/all seaters/steve hunt etc
