To be honest given the two owners are in a public spat which is playing out on social media it’s fair to say this is a sideshow to the main event

If this is true then what a shite start to the season. I think talk of £20m+ is miles off, £10m and they’ll sell. I imagine Brighton will get a fair slice of that and once gaps have been plugged MR will hopefully see at least £2m of it.

Must be a good forward from the prem we could bring in with a bit of a warchest though. Not sure how realistic someone like Liam Delap at City would be but that kind of striker. When Godden inevitably gets injured we’re relying on Walker to score the goals. Not impossible but hardly exciting.

I think this was to be expected. With the O'Hare sale off realistically Gyokeres is the club's only viable option to generate a sizeable fee. And given the current situation, it needs cash now.

I'll throw this in to start a rumour - Huddersfield 4-0 down at home to PNE tonight, with an inexperienced manager. Gets the sack, MR walks out on us and into the job again. Grendel takes over as the obvious replacement, takes us down to L2 and MR then returns and we start all over again. Back to the Championship in 2028, before the season is cancelled when Poland invades Russia.

Just as soon as it was getting good being a city fan again, it all turns to shit. I feel sorry for all those kids being made to wear football shirts by their parents, poor little fuckers will be supporting a league 2 side in a few years.

Come on, be realistic selling him might be a blessing in Disguise, can replace a few players with that money and with the city’s recent recruitment hamer, gyokores and ohare I think it’s safe to say they could bring in another decent player with potential l.

Say we get 15m, do you think we could tempt Armstrong of Southampton (Adam)? Don’t know any other decent strikers ready made that are not playing regular.

He started for Southampton at the weekend (although he was replaced at HT), so not sure he is available?

Tell you what - I really think we may have missed a trick with Colby Bishop (the old Leamington/Accy Stanley lad) Tough as old boots, puts his head where it hurts and started really well for Pompey (just come on as sub and put them 3-0 up at Cardiff).. Still only 25 and on an upward curve.

This time last year he was literally a nobody. Now hes one of the hottest prospects/strikers in the championship.

We would all love to keep him for another season. Happy we will be reaping the rewards of excellent scouting/recruitment and talent development. Dont forget €1m was a decent fee for unproven striker.

Hes good enough for premier league in my eyes and hes got bags of improvement too.

Just 4 seasons ago we didnt have a complete squad value of £5m.

If this makes us stronger off and on the field then let's cash in. Plenty more bargains to be had. We move on.

Fact is we are selling club...selling our assets at the right price is key.

If our owners genuinely had interest in the team, coupled with just a little ambition, this club could go places by hanging onto the big 3, continuing to add pieces around them and develop the others. But it's so depressing that we can't even host a match. Losing Vik so late in this window will just add insult to injury...what a shit start to a season..MR might just be tempted to leave

No one has said this. All you do is moan these days. To mask the fact u made out tavares was shit and not worthy of impact sub minutes.
Back in reality they have done actually.
I don’t think he’s shit but would send him out on loan to actually play first team football.

Sooner sell Hamer who is very very easily replaced

Arguably he’s the best striker we’ve had since relegation from the PL - selling him would be a major step backwards.

Jeez the comments on here ....
We are no different to any other club in that any player has a price
The season before Brentford were promoted they sold Benrama and Watkins .As long as we get 15-20 million for him and have at least one replacement lined up then life as a city fan goes on
We’re going down this season if gyok goes

biggest season tickets

Won’t be like that next season when we’re in league one

But re-invested 75% of the fees the received. We are selling our best players to pay the wages of current garbage players and a new pitch.
Sick of this shit.

If we sell him in the next few weeks we're in a relegation battle imo, we had zero threat apart from him at Sunderland

You'd hope we get a little of it to replace him with but with no O'Hare or Gyokeres I don't think the 3-5-2 would work well without giving our wingbacks the freedom of the park. Maybe Palmer can fill the gap and be the guy to pick out more traditional striker's runs like Walker and Godden make but it's asking a lot of a guy who has played so little recently.

Think we're going to have to see some tweaks to our set up, as I don't think we'd be able to get a like for like replacement but have felt in the past Robins has been reluctant to move away from his template for 4 or 5 games too long. Hopefully last weeks mid-game switch to a 4-3-3 is a sign of a more flexible approach. You've also then got 3 loanees in Panzo, Doyle and Adamarola whose strengths aren't necessarily suited to a back 4 either and who knows what we've agreed to in those loan contracts.
