Have to say in the games I saw him play he seemed to do quite well. Nothing amazing, but holding his own. It's only my opinion but I think he'll be a top player.
I know U23s is a completely different standard, but he looked the part in the final against Bristol City. He was a class above. Bapaga was very good, but Howley was the only one I was confident about getting into the first team.

I could live with Hamer leaving for the right fee and some investment across the squad

That's the problem though. What is the investment going to be? If we are accepting Hamer is probably gone, you would hope that fee would bring us in three or four really decent players. If it doesn't then the riot at CCC offices for even contemplating giving Wasps money are going to have to swing by the CCFC headquarters as well!

If two or three of the U23s step-up and help fill the squad that would be huge. Frees up wages for quality not quantity in first team recruitment.

Question to those who watched the U23s a fair bit last season; if you had to pick three to move up to the first team squad, who would you go for?

I think you could see more activity in January, I have a feeling MR will not get much to invest this window but will do in future windows . Also think this could be a few players last season
Why would that be @Skybluebeliever? Appreciate because of the number of contracts being extended before the end of the season we are probably in a good place with the lack of churn of players so there probably isn't a huge amount of free wages still. Would a Hamer sale not change this in your view?

I don’t think so , think the sale will put money back into club/Sisu to “catch up” from the last 2/3 seasons , we haven’t sold a player for a couple of seasons and we budget to sell one a year and with covid etc . Think MR understands this but if he needs to bring players in future windows he has a bit of collateral . I think if more than one goes this would change

Thats not good to hear.

I think this is going to turn quite quickly with supporters soon if we have a poor window.

We've done what we've been asked with Merchandise, Ticket sales, season tickets, etc

When people dont see that being reciprocated i can foresee the honeymoon period finishing
