On the news earlier supporting the new ESports facility at Warwick University - a couple of representatives in CCFC gear on show. Wonder if that shows that the links with the University/ground have a little more credence ?

Look we all know that Warwick University wouldn't have signed onto the new stadium press release if it wasn't definitely going to happen, this stadium project is the one, I can feel it.

The new facility is where the old sports centre used to be, but from what I've seen of esports there will be more sweating there than ever before.

Why would the university be part of a PR stunt.it wouldn't and I think in time it could happen,no I'm not A sisu lover but I do believe there trying to put right the past, which we all know won't go away as now part of club's history.

Just watched it on player. For a change with SISU nothing quite makes sense. Can see the sense in the club sponsoring an esports place but not sure anyone is going to believe that Sepalla has such a new found love for the club that she's decided to pop along and give a speech at the opening. This is someone who nobody could even get a photo of for years as she was so secretive.

Somethings going on but I don't think anyone believes a stadium is being built but what else could it be? If they were planning on moving training there they'd just say that and get on with it, no need for that to be a big secret. And as we've said before why are the Uni getting involved if nothing is happening.

All very odd.

What do you think?

No idea mate. A stadium seems so unlikely given their history and the cost involved but I don't see what else it could be or why the Uni would have a development plan for the whole area and be happy to leave a gap for a stadium.

They must think its happening and you'd assume they've got more to go on than SISU just saying so. What else could it be that would need to be kept secret?

Just work on the basis its not happening and then if it ever does it will be a nice surprise!

The stadium is very much Seppala’s project and she is getting very involved with the university and local government , there is a long long way to go but I think this is the most committed they have been , being involved yesterday at the university , going to the game Saturday and tonight shows this but as you say it will be a nice surprise

The training site will change , as ryton is a good asset to them but I would not expect this to be linked to the university

Wow, the most committed they have ever been, you say? Have they done two drawings this time?

It’s all games with these clowns. SISU putting up significant investment for a new stadium - I’ll believe it when I see it

if we ever achieved the impossible of the premier league with only modest losses and debts, based on where we were when they bought us
At that point would SISU be deemed the most successful club owners ever (following on from the MR discussions)

Not from me they won’t be

And that is the issue with it all in a nutshell, people always harping on about the past and refusing to even entertain the thought that the people in charge of our club may have learnt from their mistakes and are doing a lot better (I know it's not difficult to be better than the shower of shit that came before but still)

The trouble with them harping on about the past is they don't go back far enough, because it doesn't fit their agenda.

Like the Oystons learned from their mistakes when Blackpool won promotion to the Premier League, and they built a stand at Bloomfield Road?

The team can achieve on the pitch without the owners doing a good job, believe it or not. Off the field we’ve been in Birmingham for the past two seasons and the new ground which was proposed in 2013 I believe still isn’t here. It’s as bleak as ever.

Again you are looking at the past rather than the present... We are now back in cov on the best rental deal we have ever had, the team on the pitch was funded by the owners (they didn't have to give robins the funds to buy hammer, sheaf, gyo etc but they did) so they are at the moment doing a good job

Don't get me wrong, they need to communicate better on the stadium stuff as it is starting to look like smoke and mirrors again until they give us something more concrete

But personally I think it was a lot bleaker when we were playing in league 2 without a pot to piss in rather than challenging in the top half of the championship but each to their own
