What would you say is a significant fee?

We paid a million so it is likely to a decent but higher than that and they simply don't have the funds. They are about 20 million in a hole for running costs as it is. That is before you take into account the 10 million owed to Mike Ashley and the 10 million owed to Dave King their former Chairman

Also it's Bacuna they are rumoured to be trying to get on the never never.

Shippers himself probably would be open for a move I guess
He's Cov through and through but he's not a fool
He'll see a hopeless case like Da Costa being sent on ahead of him at Blackpool and know the writing's on the wall
It's not just us fans who can see Da Costa's frailties
Opponents as well as our own players know them only too well
You could see the players having a go at DaCosta the other night when he just couldn’t be arsed to get close enough to block the cross or he bothered to look over his shoulder to track the runner

Good question!
For Hamer at this moment I assume you mean? I would say anywhere between 3-5 million, would be significant given their circumstances and what is likely needed for us to sell him. Which Rangers haven't shown any ability to spend so far this window given they have only signed free transfers, and my previous point about the need to sell to balance the books.

We aren't losing anyone we want to keep to any Scottish club, the standard up there gets worse every year.
Just to add I do actually think Rangers and Celtic are big football clubs but I'm pretty sure a lot of players would sooner be in the Championship than at either of those nowadays. That league is dying on its arse.

Regarding Howley, if he’s on a full time contract we can loan him out as he’s 17. I wouldn’t think he’d be anywhere near ready for a league one loan though
Am I right I’m thinking Howley came out for the warmup before the Blackpool game but wasn’t in the squad? If so they’re keeping him close to the first team.

Also as mentioned above, Rangers have no money. Probably going to sell Morelos and Hagi to plug the financial hole.

Failing to qualify for the CL means most decent players are now off limits to them for both financial and prestige reasons. The only appeal would be a shortcut to elite European football and neither have qualified in ages

So you rate him do you?

Do you like players that can only run for 20 minutes? Or shirk tackles? Or give the ball away all the time?
Like all things to do with the team I have faith in the manager to look after his resources accordingly. I would never say one of our players was shit when they have served us in two promotions during those 150 games.
My opinion of Shipley is that if I was advising him I would be looking at a move to a league one side like Ipswich or Wednesday or Portsmouth but as I am not I trust the managers judgement.
If I had been our manager I wouldn’t have picked Hamer or Sheaf in the second half of last season unless injuries forced my hand and talking of Shipley I remember three stand out matches, twice against Millwall and at Huddersfield where he shone. I can’t remember a game in the second half of last season where Hamer or Sheaf stood out.

Yeah I wouldn't loan Howley out, he's not even had a season in the 23s yet I don't think. if you think Jonny Ngandu came into the first team picture nearly 3 years ago and he still hasn't gone out on loan yet.

If we have to bring Dacosta on can’t we do it further up the pitch? The likelihood of costing us a goal is reduced then!
That's the problem. He is always further up the pitch. Seems everything is always happening 20 yards behind him.

I couldn't help notice our players reactions to him when he let that guy get that cross over at the end on Tuesday. They all looked really frustrated by him. Not seen them do that to any other player.
