Why do you argue everyone’s opinion on Max? Can’t you just say thanks and fucking move on?

many opinions are the same as mine

Max scored more goals over his Cov career so his cost per goal was lower than Chaplin, so therefore he had a better contribution (y)

Are you seriously training to be an accountant?

Chaplin and Hiwula? Laughable.

McNulty and Godden fair enough, although Max achieved two promotions in that time, to their one.
You’re obviously emotionally invested in him.
Yeah Hiwula…who was our top scorer 2018-2019.
Biamou was a reserve player in League 1 and wasn’t even our main striker in League 2.

It looks like an obsession that's perhaps even greater than the one you've got with the manager

I think not. The obsession is those who declare he’s the best forward we’ve had since the championship, he’s even been described as our Harry Kane and if he was in Clarke Harris shirt at Peterborough he’d have scored more

When discussing contribution to the club, I feel that its probably best to look in footballing terms. I agree we did well to get a profit on Chaplin, but surely in footballing terms Biamou has contributed more to the club.

Impossible to say

Those comments if made are obviously laughable but you do go on and on about this guy. You've said it yourself, his effort can't be questioned, his ability obviously can and now he's on his way. Show's over

How is it impossible now, a few minutes ago you were saying that Chaplin has contributed more?

Did biamou contribute more than Callum Wilson?

If we're talking about value for money we did well out of both for different reasons.

No room for sentiment, that is absolutely fine, but he needs to be consistent. An effort needs to be made to move players on such as Shipley too.

Shipley will stay and I suspect once again confound his critics

Did his goal at home to Swindon not contribute anything?
Neither do his goals in the playoffs according to Grendel cus they are technically not in the league. Not sure why we are limiting our sample size to just League 2 also. He also contributed in League 1 in that Peterborough game, Ipswich draw, Bolton win, Southend Win, equaliser at Norwich, MOTM performance against Rotherham, Winner at Derby and goal at stoke. But the only relevant game is the newport one.

Well the aim with him is always to be contrary, recent times that means praising Shipley who gets some stick, criticising Biamou who gets some praise, and several times a year going on about binning Robins

As enthralling as this is, he'll soon be gone and you'll have to find a new target. Though just for the record he also made notable contributions against:

Swindon (H)
Notts Co playoffs
Brentford (H)
Cheltenham (A), cute finish
Rotherham (H)
Boro (H)
Forest (H)

Plus carrying out the thankless task of leading the line when there was nobody else. His only crime was not to be good enough for this league

He’s still got Robins as his target if we lose a couple of games next year. 🤡🤡🤡

Let's be honest , his popularity came about due to his personality ..
He is amongst the Carl bakers in that regards , will we miss him as a footballer, absolutely not.

has he contributed yes , but in the same regard you can say the bizarre amount of sitters missed in league 2 helped make the season harder than it needed to be.
The same can be said about this season tbh .

He can head a ball , and he runs ..but his general all round play is currently below where we are at , and even arguably league 1.

Il place a bet with absolutely anybody on this board that wherever he goes he won't be scoring too many goals .

I'm genuinely glad this bizarre chapter is ending

I have never in my life known such an average footballer be adored so much

I don't think anyone is arguing that we have outgrown him now, and he more than likely won't score a lot of goals. But over the past few years he has played his part in getting us where we are.

Well yes he scored in the playoff semi finals .

But at the same time we could have got automatic had he taken some of his gazillion chances In league 2 during the season
