Agreed, it effects everything. Our midfielders starting position is 35 yards from our goal because of it, the wing backs just playing as full backs and O'Hare and forwards isolated.

The old adage "play in their half" is virtually impossible
Our new tactic is go long and hope we pick up the 2nd ball it’s like robins is out of ideas with these players

Exactly. Counter their quality with energy and fresh legs. If he can't back baka pask, sheaf, Allen with 10 to go to run, hassle and chase. Why the fuck has he kept them in the squad

Exactly, it’s how we beat Brentford (albeit without Toney), pressing their better players, so why didn’t he do it for the last 10-15 tonight. If players were having great game’s then fair enough but they weren’t and were knackered. Bizarre decision

Rose and Dabo have both been very disappointing this season. Hoping it’s fitness and not quality related. Or we need another two players to add to the list in the summer.
They both possibly came back too early from long term injury
I'm as frustrated as everyone else tonight but have to accept Boro have a better team than us
If we'd held out for a point I'd have been delighted
Maybe we could have made changes but our defenders had been throwing themselves in to make blocks all night
I actually thought Dabo still looked ok and wouldn't have changed him
Maybe that's why I'm not the manager

Drop Walker and Max for Saturday as they have both proven to be utter shite for the best part of this season . Put Osti up front as target man , someone who can head the ball and put a shift in . And Hamer playing number 10 with O’Hare just in front to give us more outlets.
nothing to lose ( well maybe ) just another game .
Wilson is a shite keeper so why don't we put Baka in the net. This is the same logic.

Called for a flat 4 after Blackburn we need to be using James Hamer Kelly together we lack composure in midfield I can’t belive robins let it go so long tonight

Marosi
Dabo osti fadz mccallum
Hamer Kelly James
O’Hare
Biamou walker

Trouble with the four is Fadz often looks vulnerable in it, but Rose and Hyam are neither in good form to partner osti.

Sheaf isn’t my favourite, I wouldn’t start him ahead of Kelly and Hamer.

James came in to steady us, which he didn’t do. Plus wasted the budget. Playing Sheaf and spending the James and Gyo money on a striker would have us more points in my opinion.
Yes I think your right but we couldn’t get the striker as he knew sheaf wasn’t up to fillin in for Kelly so he chose to fill the CDM over a striker as he felt that must of been the priority it’s clear he don’t fancy sheaf

Funnily enough, I nearly posted a few mins before the goal that I wouldn't change anything except Gyökeres for Biamou but hey...

I'm sure if we made all 5 subs & threw away a point because of it people would moan then too.

Most of our squad were and if you compare our bench to most Championships sides bench I think my piont is proven.

Well not really, 4 players on that bench were signed or re signed for this campaign. 3 of which aren't deemed good enough to get a run out when the first 11 are dead on their feet. This isn't down to Robins, it's the scouting department, sign less players of higher quality.

How are people excusing not making changes because of a budget?

Why are we bothering playing games?

If we have shitter players then it's more reason to make changes as we have shit tired players.

Even if we brought on pask and then somebody up front to press and run about.

If we'd have drawn that 1-1, most on here would have been content. Blew it right at the end, I think MR could have brought Pask on for Dabo earlier, but in fairness, our few 'chances' involved him in the latter stages of the second half, and it was only right at the end that they threatened us, so I understand why he left him on. Would have thrown Baka on for Max for the last 20mins.

Well if that’s the case then he fucked it by signing Sheaf if he’s not going to play him and fucked it by signing James because he hasn’t had any positive effect in our results.

But he got so much out of them v Brentford and since them hasn't even tried to repeat that tactic.

Because it was an obvious thing to target v Brentford as they're obsessed with playing out from the back & won't adjust their game plan, instead backing themselves to play through the press.
Middlesbrough & Blackburn don't play that way.

Somebody mentioned about McFadz dragging us deep, that's a deliberate tactic to counter their pace up front. It worked mostly but we were very poor in possession.

Baka or Gyo or both should definitely have come onto the pitch - Robins cocked up the subs again not for the first time.
It was possibly also a game for Allen to come on and revert to box with probably Max to come off.

It is so difficult but in reality Dabo & McCallum are so deep they may as well sit in a back 4......would suggest 4-3-3 next game.

Marosi

Dabo Osti Fadz McCallum

Hamer Kelly James

O'Hare Walker Gyo

We were playing good stuff midway through the 2nd half and Boro were pinned back, but we didn’t carve out any real opportunities. I knew then Boro would nick it, and let’s be fair that’s what they did., nick it. Just cannot understand Robins not changing the front two at some point, or giving Bapaga a go. We have to beat Derby now

And then barely be able to field a team when injuries hit?

Not a comment on tonight. Dabo has lost all his attacking verve. And as he’s only a so so defender that’s worrying.

The one lovely move involving Dabo and Hamer on the right ended up with Hamer blazing high an wide with his left
At least he had the confidence to try
That goes in maybe things are different but they rode it out and wore us down to nick it

As said, Boro came to tire us out.

We tired but didnt change anything.
