Glad you are willing to give people a chance. Maybe he actually saw him play unlike you who is looking at stats on a website.

A crap unreliable website, too! I know, like what is a reliable website in this day and age, but Transfer Market are as unreliable as it gets: I often wonder if they are affiliated to Transfer Rumours...

Just kept saying he was joining THE MASSIVE after every sentence really and something about how Marcel Desailly said he could be better than Eric Deloumeaux

That is brilliant!

Signing from left field this one! Reading AT quote looks like a direct replacement for cranie imo

Also think the editing of his wiki page is just plain childish

Meh, raspberries to you for being no fun. My dad's miles better than your dad anyway. Nah-nah na-na-nah :D

Hold on, so you're not looking for this target man to chip in with goals and therefore be playing in a striking role?! I'll stick with what I said.

On the right we have Fleck, Baker, Bell and Elliott if needs be. I think that's enough cover for that side and I'd rather use the wages for another position.

Bit in bold first: Don't be so stupid, of course he'll chip in with goals, but we need a Heskey type player who is able to lay on 4 or 5 chances a game for the main striker. Be a threat from set pieces etc. There's no point going with Cody & O'Donovan/Elliott as they will be bullied and offer us no out ball.

Fleck - Central attacking midfielder, tip of the diamond?? - Another Kevin Thornton?? Baker & Bell have rarely performed and are injured quite a lot, Elliott is left footed and will be deployed in McSheffrey's position.

But that is still classed as a striker!!

Fleck can play on the right, Elliott can play on the right, Baker and Bell can both play on the right. Enough cover.

I'd class it as a centre forward.

Why are you two arguing about strikers in a thread about a defender we've signed?! "Is this the room for an argument?" :thinking about:

I think I'll get FM when it comes out. Should be able to get promoted with this squad on there

Seriously mate, I've been saying for ages that the only good thing about relegation is that FM & FIFA will be a right laugh getting us up from L1. Essentially, our games just got another season of value for City fans :D

But scouted by Thorn. Thorn hasn't really made that many signings in his time as manager, so I presumed we'd include ones he scouted too

Wrong, impressed him playing for Hartlepool against Colchester.

I wonder if we'll get a ridiculous budget on FIFA this season, we had like 4 million last season

It's the usual case of anybody who is half-decent, Thorn is given the credit, anybody who's shite is blamed on a previous manager.

No, it's a case of it being true in this instance! Don't make me use the "f" word..

Have spoken briefly to an acquaintance who is, in my opinion, the king of knowledge for France's Ligue 1. He's told me that Malaga is a hard worker in training, he's very vocal and a good leader. Didn't really have the pretty skillful side to his game that would have got him into Nice's 1st team but he's thought of highly. Was once a pretty big talent and has the strength and no nonsense approach that should really suit not just N-Power League 1 but English football in general.

Of course, it remains to be seen if it pans out like that but it seems promising. He also told me that to his knowledge he had drawn the attention of Premier League sides in the not too distant past.

I don't mind being proven wrong mate, but I fail to believe AB would bring a player to the club, and let him rot the way he let ROD rot! One of our most pointless signings in our history, and he followed AB pretty quickly to the club so I doubt it was his signing. Opinion only!

Games are never hard enough as City. We always get unrealistically high budgets-even when FM cut it back to under 100k, it's still not the "raise 4m+ on the transfer balance sheet each season" challenge that it should and so easily could be with a bit of tinkering with finance and board expectations.

Whereas Thorn made him a mainstay of the side, right?!? :pointlaugh:

I'm also pretty sure-indeed 99.9% sure-that Aidy was clear in his interview that he had impressed him last season. Which is fair enough, some of his Hartlepool goals were real corkers.

Aidy had King and Lukas! Thorn had Jeffers or ROD...hmm.

It is unbelievable.

This joker will be off following Thorn's every move soon as he is shown the door by the club.

What, ROD will?
