We look a bit lost tbh. We didn’t know how to get Dabo involved when we were playing four at the back, and Shipley and O’Hare were complete passengers. Things get a bit more familiar when we go to a back three, but we’re so much more vulnerable defensively. There has to be a middle ground somewhere, and I believe we have the personnel to create chances, but neither system we saw tonight is going to do the job, and Robins is running out of time to figure out which one will.

We need Godden and Walker up top with Sheaf/Hamer/O'Hare or Kelly, and a natural right footer at RWB. That's our best line up and allows us to be solid enough defensively while creating plenty going forward. We do not have a Juke type player to lead the line on his own.

But Godden was injured (as was Walker).
Both fit I'm fairly sure they play

Then we remain 1 point outside the drop zone, only because another team has been deducted points, and keep the worst goals conceded record in the league.

Glad you asked, makes me feel much better about things.

1 point outside the drop zone sounds good to me.
No one moaned in 97 when we stayed up thanks to a point deduction

I fully understand the injury problems but I'm saying that's our strongest 11 so we should be trying to stay as close to it as we can manage. If that means Max partners Walker for a few games so be it.

Granted we didn't create much tonight against a side that's likely to finish in the bottom half but there are still plenty of positives to take from the game.

Psychologically it's important that we didn't concede tonight and despite the drab performance from both sides, I'm not displeased. As Robins said, we need to use this as a building block.

The main positives are a clean sheet and Walker continuing to look lively. That said we really could have done with a win against a side that was there for the taken and to whom we posed few threats. We weren't conceding bags of goals because of our formation, it was stupid errors and we still made plenty even before he reverted to 5-3-2
