Baka looks unbelievable now. I'd be terrified to play against him.
O hare unreal, if we'd never seen him play before we'd be rubbing our eyes at how good he's going to be.
Hamer - didn't see much from him today.
Shipley I love but ffs when he's off it he's so bad it's laughable. It's almost like he just loses concentration and doesn't think what he's doing. That role does not suit him.
Kelly - what a guy, what a player, what a captain.
Giles or 'gilo' - got turned inside out first min but didn't put a foot wrong after that. Him and Dabo on either side excites me ALOT
Fadz - 9/10 awesome.

2 nd half showed our metal . MR played a blinder putting on the subs when he did . It could well have been 2-0 .
10 men , we only need 10 men .
as for the penalty and the sending off .. I really hope MR contests this as it never was a pen .

He likes his shot stopping but not his distribution.
Keepers are coached to distribute a lot differently to back in the day. A hoof to the halfway line or an occasional throw out wide to the full back - anything else was frowned upon.

Yep - I’m guessing you meant ‘would do’ at the end? Correct me if I’m wrong!
I’m hoping that because we have a set piece ‘specialist’, we can create more chances and goals from set pieces. If this doesn’t improve this year, then a focus for our recruitment has to be defenders who can score from set pieces.
I’ve been banging on about this for a few season now.

Yes really. As you said yourself. Saturday Tuesday Saturday is not the same week.
In fairness to Shipley he moved across from wide left to cover the loss of a defender and he broke up a number of Dons attacks. But Robins was correct to sub him as he was on a yellow.

A lot of surprises this round of the cup! I was worried our performance was showing we were a bit rusty for competitive football.

Nice to see the depth we have in the squad now and Baka is like a new sighning on that display but we did look a bit shaky in defence and lacking a clinical finish

It did look that way. We had players out of their best position in midfield and we struggled as a result to control the tempo, even before the red card. Walsh will be a huge miss but with Kelly and Sheaf hopefully this area of our game will improve next week.

Credit where it’s due, MK were good on the ball and they were sharper than us on the ball. Since we had an early red card, we don’t know how we would’ve responded as the game develops 11v11.
IMO, MR put another striker on because he saw a weakness to be exploited - high D line and an ageing Lewington in the middle. At times, we looked good on the counter.
Without Walsh, we’ll probably have to be more direct and it may be worth us playing 3-4-1-2 with both Gooden and Walker up front or a 3-4-3 with wingers.
Given the circumstances, I’m pleased with the way we ground out a win in challenging conditions.

Happy with the result given the overall performance and down to 10 men for an hour.
Need to sharpen up against better opposition if we don't want to get caught. Marosi with the ball at his feet nearly got caught a few times and if he does that against better players we may well be conceding. Did the goalkeeping stuff well.
Was worried about Giles first few minutes but improved. Pask you can tell is not a wide player.
Kelly made a massive difference coming on. Hopefully Sheaf can come in for him if he's ever out because none of the other CM's seem suited to the role.
Defensively we've got players to come back with Dabo, Rose and Osti which hopefully will help with the few issues we had.

I don't think that is the case. He often praises him. He just doesn't think he should take risks when it's not needed - like today, which could have cost us.
Whenever I hear Oggy co-commentate I think he makes s lot of sense.
