Durham police have backtracked significantly on their original statement ahead of this wonderful press conference
Which funnily enough puts it in line with No.10’s backtrack on their original statement when they went from denying that the police attended to the police attended to advice on security.

Look ignored posts.

Which reminds me that the current government policy towards DC is very like what Grenners thought was the story of Cnut and the tide

They did not contact the family. His father did for some security issues and the police offered no advice on coronavirus

that was known Saturday night, it was in their statement.
I think they may have changed what they said they spoke to him about.

How arrogant do you have to be to, as an advisor, summon the press for what is essentially an address to the nation and then not bother to turn up on time.

The point is they didn’t contact the family at all the family contacted the police

that was what the police said Saturday. Unless they released two statements Saturday.

They have said that Covid advice was not even mentioned and the discussion was purely around this apparent security incident - at worst this is apparently a potential £60 fine issue

He drove 30 mins to a castle to test whether if he was fit to drive. Having run this test, he returned home. WTF?

Their new statement says it was decided no further action was required relating to coronavirus. How did they manage that when it wasn't mentioned?

You could say Dr Calderwood and / or Prof Ferguson was only a potential £60 fine but they were both forced to resign.

Actually its nothing to do with silly financial penalties, its about showing contempt for thousands of people who were following instructions they were given, even though they had family members that were sick & dying. But that doesn't affect you personally so you won't give a shit about that.

He sounds like me trying to explain why I stayed out until 5am when I said I’d be back at 10pm.
