The WHO confirmed there is minimal risk to school children - the wood from the trees is getting clearer albeit via muddy messaging. A vaccine and a cure are going to be years away - this has to be acknowledged on a global basis and then a risk management approach taken.

That’s all I’ve read too. Apparently there was one study out of dozens that claimed that transmission rates were lower in children but it flies in the face of the other studies which were either inconclusive or showed the opposite.

There have been some one off cases where an infected child was found to have infected no adults but others where children were found with similar viral loads as adults. It won’t take long before harder evidence emerges and all I’ve ever said is let’s wait for that before deciding to reopen.

Plus it seems to have fallen quiet on immunity

In fairness the study said that whilst it didn't completely halt the virus it appeared to limit it. That might be enough as a stop gap measure.
